There are literally no other reasons not to race.

Amazing. No one should complain after seeing this!
Maybe your neighbor is very special, but ANYONE who takes their education and future seriously at Stanford works hard.
Surprised this hasn't been bought up yet but many of the athletes wore the new vaporfly spikes (alpha-spikes). Lopez, Fisher, McGorty, Derrick, Schweizer, Frerichs, Cranny, and Jorgenson. Almost all the others looked to be wearing the white "4% spikes" except for Quigley who wore the Mamba's.
Doesn’t seem to be as much backlash on the new spikes as the alpha fly/vapor fly. But, of course they haven’t been realized to the public yet. I’m pretty excited to see what they’re like in person. Maybe they’ll release tomorrow the same as the alpha fly? But I doubt it. Although, custom spikes have been a think for a long time and there hasn’t been much complaint about them. FloTrack video they realized on YouTube of Galen’s 5xmile he was rocking some sick spikes for the last rep. Looked like the OG Vic plate with a full carbon fiber shank and a gnarly custom tongue. Maybe a Vic 2 upper as well.
Quigley stated on her IG post today that BTC is doing it again next Friday (7/10).
Oregonlive /Ken Goe reports that OTC Elite & Team Julian were contacted about running last night but, for reasons unknown, chose not to compete.
Sure hope BTC races from now on will be "inter" rather than "intra" squad.
Who is in Pete Julian’s group right now? Brazier, Engels, Hull, Tanui, Jenkins, Koko. Anyone else?
Wish Kejelcha was still with them, that could be a legendary time trial.

Why don't the Nike groups race against each other? Instead they hide from each other.
Jager posted on IG that he ran a 4:02 last mile
To me the definition of race means competition. This was practice. I'm not even talking about a race, I'm talking bout practice man.

His last 1600m were 4:02.86 so more like a 4:04 last mile.

Okay, do you have any other splits

A few match races BTC v Julian's group would be pay-per-view worthy.

on this note, further proof of her degrading ability in athletics. her 15:18 in vapor fly is worth 16:18 in normal shoes

LOL...there will be no racing show worn by anyone within two years that won't have a carbon plate in it. I train nearly everyday in the Carbon X, and just recently got the Endorphin Pro as a Nike alternative (I would rather not support Nike). The EP is very close to the Next% in feel on the road, but the Next% upper fits a little better for me. YMMV.
If you're not already a forefoot striker, the plated shoes have far less benefit.

If Nike put together a meet at Michael Johnson track (railing needed again) with BTC, Team Julian, OTC, and WCAP/ADP, I would definitely pay for it. People are itching for sports, tons of people would cough up $20-$30 for it.

You need to read slowly.... The guy who asked how many races are currently held got crickets in return....
This is literally the stupidest meet to begin with and will most likely get canceled at the last second. Most people from Milwaukee can't stand Eric Lueck as he is an extreme douchebag and of an extra special rare sub-type variety that has voiced opinions of COVID-19 as the basic flu and a non-threat to student athletes. People shouldn't waste their time or money at this event.
The Wisco Mile has been a great event for years and the fact that he is still trying to host an event should be applauded not ridiculed. Success does breed jealousy and it looks like two former teammates success bothers some people...sad, really sad.
The only real meet taking place in the country and you call it the stupidest ever? Just because you don't like the race director is no reason to discourage other runners. 350 people participated last year. It is a great event and this year looks to be even better. I have heard that some big name high school and semi-pro runners have signed up.
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
