I have already stated so and agree. Just needs to get a good race with the pros.

Man, John Kellogg is good. I sent him a link to Young's workout and asked him what he thought about it. While he likes workouts to go from slower to faster normally, he liked the workout and thought it was 100% appropiate for someone to be doing who was going for a fast 3k at Millrose.
Someone doing that workout should be able to run 754-56. And there you have it.
He essential ran 7:57.
but he didn't

Great run, just off Chris Derricks U20 record and almost 3 seconds clear of Drew Hunter’s high school record.
Discuss. Is LV record in jeopardy come spring track season?
A certain kid named Drew Hunter, who happened to have gone to Loudoun Valley (LV) HS, holds the INDOOR record in the mile but not the outdoor record.
So what the **** do you mean?
Everyone knows that LV stands for Lukas Verzbicas the us hs goat

No did. Not really near the 7:54 - 7:56.0 prediction.
Bickering over less than a second is so silly.

No he didn't say 7:56.0, he said 7:56. He didn't even specify to a certain decimal point, so even if he ran 7:56.999999999999999 he's still right. You're a moran.
don't bicker. 7:54-7:56 means anywhere in the 7:54s, 7:55s, and 7:56s, not that it matters. Nico Young ran a workout with the first 1600m at 4:10 (7:48 pace), but that cooked him a bit; he was struggling after going out in 61/2:03, planned to be able to keep up with the field at the beginning here. He then ran 2:07, 4:16, 2:06. 4:16 is right at 8:00 3k pace. 2:07 is 7:56.25 pace. So, a 7:48 prediction was definitely on the high end of his capacities, even if done solo, while the 4:16 at 8 flat pace was done after he was cooked from 4:10/2:07 and 61 first 400s for each of them. So, it was reasonable to predict somewhere between maybe 7:53 and 7:58.
Needless to say, this was a terrific performance from him. If he does nothing else this year, he will have a tough hs indoor record and the xc title. I expect he'll get low 8:30s outdoors at the very least, maybe even break the record, which will require a pro race, and this plus the workout shows that is their ambition and they can get him in a race to do it. A high quality 5000m is also in order. Too bad there is no world junior xc this year or we could see if he could come close to repeating Ritz's performance (3rd against Bekele), given a cool day and not a spectacularly hilly course such as they had in Denmark.
This individual is a troll.
I’ll bet this individual argues with their partner constantly about incredibly petty non sense, like who will play the male role in their relationship.

Well spotted. Can you please stop feeding the trolls? You're giving them what they want.
What does Nico's time convert to at 3200? Like 8:35?

That little boy who finished dead last looked rough.
Why is a high school kid running a pro race?

Did you ask that question when Webb ran 3:53 at Prefontain Classic?
This is still the greatest run ever by a high school track and field athlete:
The goosebumps start at 6:58 in that Webb video when the announcer's voice rises...every time I watch it...
They don't count oversize tracks at all. I ran 4:01.89 on an oversized track in college and although it was a 4:01 mile it was as it never happened.
Drew Hunter ran the previous high school boys national indoor 3k record with a time of 7:59.33 at the Camel City Elite meet in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on a FLAT track not the blanked track of the Armory. What is that convert to...?!? Then get back to me.

That's irrelevant. They both set national records.
I did the conversion myself; Hunter’s flat 3000m converts to 7:53.818 on a banked 200m.

That sounds accurate since there is more rotational torque when the track is banked, meaning he'll turn the curves faster.
