But I'm not that good so I get chicked a lot!
No one on here is as fast as her. sorry
B. Kosgei is light years ahead of all the American women. Gwen Jorgensen, said she wants or will win the Olympic marathon? Please!!! Delusional! Sarah Sellers is like 3 miles behind Kosgei, so her run has ended.

Lol best reply
By my reckoning, HJ 14:14 must be about 49 years old?
How do sub-elites feel about getting "cuckold" by Kosgei? or How do sub-elites feel about getting "pegged" by Kosgei? fixed

If you cannot accept being chicked you stop and collapse with a pretend physical injury just as Rupp did. His injury was entirely mental.
and rupp didnt have an injury, he DNF cause he knows his career is over, and he couldnt deal with the idea of the media hounding him after his 2:11 or slower finish in the wake of al sals bust. hassay being a PC cali girl only made it a few miles before the anxiety and shame got to her. dont expect her to tweet, insta, or anything for a couple months....or just wait for all the NOP athletes samples to be retested and see how many are glowing...it will be a good day!
1) kiprop goes down and rek and renato go silent
2) al sal goes down, rek tries to do damage control
3) waiting on the NOP retests...then hopefully Mo, Rupp, Centro and others go down
4) kosgei goes down, rosa finally goes down, and BLACK PAGE renato goes down.
just have to be patient
I can't speak for the sub-elites you mention, but it's not like it's a new thing. Every time a woman runs a 2:18 or 2:20 or even a 2:30 in a mixed race, the men just behind her are going to be guys who are used to being considered fairly studly on their local scene having to swallow their pride a little bit. It's all good, though. I think it's generally a good thing to be reminded periodically of exactly where you stand.

They feel comfortable enough in their own skin to not use an outdated phrase. Women are getting better at distance running. Great, more training partners. It's fun to watch people run fast. Get over you insecure feelings.
I thought intelligent, thoughtful answers were banned on LR?

Probably not too bad, considering she's likely on the sauce and likely to be popped as a doper at some point
What's wrong with getting beat by a women running 2:14? Do you boys really have that fragile an ego?
A lot of elite men cannot run 2:14. Don't make it sound like it's a walk in the market for elite men to crack 2:14.
Grow up boys.

Was interesting to see Alex Monroe get outkicked by Kosgei on National Television.
When I'm racing a local Turkey Trot, I don't mind getting chicked because I find fast women attractive.
Not sure how sub-elites feel.
I believe Sage Canaday has gotten quite used to being beat by women - physically from Sandi and athletically by every top female he faces
Sage Canaday isn't exactly the apex of masculinity. I'm sure Sandy pegs him.
She really earned my respect at 30K when I tried to pass her. She threw me an elbow and said, "Watch your ass, slow poke."
Why does the time matter if it is fake?
Emma Bates is super-awesome. She actually ran races to raise $ for the wildfires in California last year.
Not a problem. For instance, I couldn't best any female medalist at the World Championships.
Of course, I'm getting close to 60 years old, so I'm just happy to still be out on the roads. :)

Kosgei?
Emma Bates got about 5 minutes of screen time, but she must have dropped at least 10 guys in that time coming up Michigan avenue.
She was in beast mode with a smile on her face going by guys like they were standing still.
And if you saw how those guys looked, they didn't look very impressive. At all.
I'm always more surprised than I should be when it comes to just how much better elite men look than 2:20+ guys. We look skinny-fat and pathetic by comparison as we run... or like we've got bricks in our legs.

Creepy. Just run your race and stop perving

Some of them are in awe. Some of them are bitter and think they would run much faster with better drugs.
Fixed that for you. Usually the most bitter ones are also the dirtiest who can't accept anyone let alone a female could be naturally better than them.

The hard part is watching someone like Molly Huddle answer questions about these women running 5:10 pace and the PC and smart thing for them to respond is essentially, "wooooowww, yeahhhh, so fast.."
Does not Molly Huddle hold TC 10 mile course record? I am interested to see if Brigid Kosgei will go for a sub-49 10 mile there. [That 10 mile course makes a lot more sense than Twin Cities Marathon. Ten mile is nearly a direct run from dt Minneapolis to capitol in Saint Paul.]
