Where is Banana Bread btw? I hope he hasn't been arrested again. Imagine if he missed Bekele breaking the WR.
What ?! Our man "Banana Bread" has spent some quality time in the slammer ?
If by time in the slammer you mean. Teaching college courses in the Midwest.

I dunno..I think he realizes this is his last chance if he wants to go to Tokyo next year..seems like he drastically changed his preparation for this one
https://www.nnrunningteam.com/news/2019-09-03-kenenisa-reconstructed/I love how the letsrun degenerates have been claiming that Bekele hasn’t been getting invites to the marathon majors because he is too washed up. Yet here he is headlining Berlin!
Anyone else staying up all night to watch this?

One gets the reputation of being “washed up” when repeatedly DNFing marathons, particularly if one is hyped-up as a major contender and then disappoints. So he hasn’t run a great marathon for quite a while, yet he wants to go out at his PR pace. That isn’t particularly brilliant. Maybe he should run strategically and try to win the race, or at least podium. I think he’s going to DNF again.
Why are the invited Kenyans in 2019 so much weaker than the Ethiopians?
Except for the top four, this looks like a really weak field.
Are the organizers using this as an in-between year to prep for next?
A revitalized Bekele vs Kipchoge vs Kamworor in 2020 would be a marketing wet dream!
Yeah but don't let that distract you from the fact his 2016 Berlin Marathon victory is indubitably among the greatest marathons ever ran. He ran 2:03 and change, dismantling Kipsang, the only man to have beaten Kipchoge over the marathon distance, in the process. My prediction for Berlin 2019: KB wins in 2:06.

Because everyone is anticipating INEOS 1:59 challenge, so Berlin has been put on the back burner.

Bekele just c0cksmacked you, how does it feel?
haha assholes have fun crawling back to your mum. there is no question who is the GOAT now. KB demolished kipchoge in the track and now almost took down his world record off so little training. Funny thing that people were saying no one will get near the record for many years to come. so jokes on you degenerate trolls.
