So only whites can be racist? And it seems by your definition all whites are racist.
Is that itself racist?
If you spent any time at all in South Africa you would soon be told all whites are racist purely because they are alive and not been killed yet in the ongoing genocide while it is totally impossible for all other races to be racist. However, I have to say lately Indians and colored people have also been painted as racist with only black people being holy and totally incapable of being racist.
Someone who is not physically attracted to anyone of an opposite race?
My neighbor.
Is it really just race? What if someone called people living in Africa monkeys, but they had now bad feelings about black people who lived in the US or the UK, would that be racist?

You need to explain that a bit more.
If I, a white man, tends to root for white basketball players and runners am I racist?
If a black man tends to root for black tennis players and quarterbacks is he racist?
If I tend to socialize with those who look like me and have similar experiences, is that racist?
If a black person wants to marry another black person is that racist

Actually the only Close to correct answer. More right would be someone differently racist than I am . Anyone is prejiduced from their own environement and upbringing in some way, offen based on real personal experience.
Anybody who criticizes a “person of color”. If you are a republican, then you are automatically a racist because you disagree with liberals.
In summary, you are a racist if you aren’t a liberal.
Academic multiculturalists have decided that only those in "dominant culture" can be racist because they have defined racism so as to require exercise of power to oppress others based on racial difference. Therefore, those in dominant culture can be, and are defined writ large to be racist, while those who are oppressed can only be prejudiced. They argue that prejudice does not allow exercise of oppressive power.
So, according to their twisted definitions and narrative, dominant culture is racist and those who identify with monocultural dominant elements are racist even if unknowingly. The oppressed can be merely prejudiced.
In other words, if you are white in the US, you are part of the racist dominant monoculture whether you know it or not. You are racist and to not acknowledge same make you ignorant but no less racist. The oppressed, people of color, can be prejudiced against you but cannot themselves be racist because they have no power within the dominant culture to oppress you. This ideology requires a rejection of 'dominant monoculture' by white people and active 'anti-racist' positioning on their part, if they are to avoid being racists. Sounds reasonable on the surface but it falls apart with even a little bit of consideration, IMO.
The current multicultural, twisted group think defines white people as racist, period, and people of color as not, period. They go so far as to insist that the entire idea of the American melting pot is wrong, because they see the melting pot as consisting of immigrants having to lose their culture and identity so as to conform with dominant monoculture. They see no hybrid culture, see none of the wonders of our blended society that those of us who are not ideologically pure do.
I could go on and on. I spent a lot of time in academia trying to make sense of these Orwellian ideas that have become so mainstream that to argue against them brings being tarred as a racist. One of the primary features of academic multiculturalism is that it allows no room for contrary thought. One adheres to the orthodoxy or is (likely) a racist. It really does become that simple when you follow the logic trains that build the dogma.
I have become convinced that current multicultural thought is poison. It creates endless cycles of victimhood and want-for-retribution. It rejects the idea of a melded but whole society. It allows no reasonable conversation among people. It seeks what the orthodox call restorative justice, which IMO is nothing more than retributive justice. Ultimately, it seeks to replace power with power.

Can second this about SA, I spent 3 months living there with my gf and her family, and you would not believe how divided they are over race there, and you really wouldn’t believe how horrible it is to be white. Wanna drive through town with your windows down? Sorry bud, that’s you you lose your car, or your head, or your wife and kids. Wanna go for a walk to that shopping center that’s right down the street from you? Better take a knife or a taser. Wanna defend your house from a burglar who is literally standing in your living room? Better ask him why he’s there and receive verbal confirmation that he is robbing you.
Seriously, you know how when you go out for runs in the US people always say crap like “make sure to have your wallet and phone in case you get lost!” In South Africa, my gf’s mom told me to leave my phone and wallet at home on my runs so I didn’t lose them to another person.

Oh and I know I’m going to get some stupid crap for this, “Ever been to Chicago? eVer BEeN tO LA?!” Yes. I have. And it isn’t even close. We have crime hotspots in the US, we have cities where race crime is more prevalent than others. In South Africa, if you want to look for a crime hotspot, walk out your front door, no matter where you live.
Not true. I'm a liberal and know plenty of liberals I would consider racist. That said I hear a lot more conservatives who start sentences with "I'm not a racist, but..." which we all know is the first sign of a racist.

I cannot speak for Alan, but here are my answers.
The first two would be racist if the reason you root for them is their race.
The third one would be racist if the emphasis is on "who look like me" as opposed to "similar experiences."
The fourth one would be racist if you rule out marrying a non black person.
The bottom line is, every one has racial prejudice. Some more than others. The first step is to accept this fact.

Wow. It's hard being a white south african. And here I was thinking Nelson Mandela had it hard being locked up for no good reason all those years. Any white person would no doubt have switched places with him in an instant.
Nelson Mandela should have been locked up for life for beating his wife.

Have you read Nelson Mandela´s book: How to be a good communist?
https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/how-to-be-a-good-communistAll I say on this topic as a white male is that I agree with standard definition of what racism is:
"Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior."
But I'll add that we as humans are all tribal and will display preferences and associations that we feel help us to "survive", or "get ahead"... I think that we all have at some point thoughts of over-generalizing certain groups of people, the important thing is we don't act upon it, understand the futility of it and treat people as individuals rather than monolithic group...

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I have a different thought on this though. I don't think any of those behaviors should be described as racist. Here's my reasoning. The label racist should be used to single out people who are truly hateful and demeaning to a group of people based on race. I think we need to differentiate those people from those who exhibit normal (but inappropriate) bias.
Its a matter of degree. If your bias causes you not to select someone for a job because of their race, that is pretty severe. If you are black and tend to root for the black quarterback or prefer to marry another black (or white with the white examples) I don't think the term racist should be applied. Its too negative of a pejorative. It miss characterizes normal but inappropriate bias as being something very hateful.
