On paper Rogers is on the team, but she was well-beaten by Mu indoors, will be a bit nervous. I feel like Green has the momentum so it's a Mu v. Rogers duel to get on the team. Akins may pull an upset, she has a real sharp kick on the final stretch.

This will not be a fast race. Surprises might occur, including a podium finish for Athing Mu (the only athlete who won't be overthinking things).

If that happens then Mu will not have thought about it enough. If the race is not fast as you predict and she finishes 3rd, she may as well not have run it because she doesn't have the standard and won't be going to Doha.
By virture of her 2:01 high, 2:02 liw back to back says I feel she is capable of 1:58.7 perfect race scenario. In the 800m you cant afford to many mistakes so it going to take outstanding race and luck with good weather (very little wind) and fast pace from someone else leading thru 500m.

This sounds like it is written by somebody who has no clue, i.e., anyone could have written the above post. It does not tell us anything. The only thing we know is that belatedly you jumped on the Athing bandwagon and if she runs well you will tell us it was you who predicted it when she has been a known future star for some time now.

Again, she went 1:23.57 indoor for a 600m. Convert that time to outdoor, you get a 1:22 mid-high. Then she just has to jog the last 200 in 36 and would have 1:58. The age-graded record for 17-year old girls is 1:59.17, I don't know if she gets it today or not but she will definitely break it in the next 10 months.
Weather will be hot, but that's more of an issue for the 5k than for the 800.
I say she is capable of 1:57. But, the front runners are still a little stronger. I say 1:58 for 3rd.

Stop changing yoyr username you creep. I by no ways insinuated I discovered Athing Mu. Many posters on this board knew of her before me. I do however know she is capable of sub 1:59 this year and hope she puts together an outstanding performance run to her potential. Athing did and you dont run 2:01 high, next day 2:02 low...without being able to hit 1:57-1:58.
I hope Athing Mu make the World team and/or break the Hsr. USA need a young track star to make the World team and hopefully improve the popularity even more of our sport among U.S. teenagers, especially in middle distances.

You called it Idiotalert. VIPAM was as per usual just groping in the dark, tossing darts with a blindfold on hoping to get lucky. He did not..
2:01.17 outstanding for a high school female who ran 80% if the race in lane two. I knew she was out of it when she couldnt get out of lane two at 500m. Athing still have one more year of high school. Look for her to be first American female;
400m.......50.95
800m........1:57.50 AJR, hsr
1500m......4:14.99
She'll go to the 2020 Olympics in the 800m or/and 4x 400m relay

It is not good to lie so much. Athing did not run 80% of the race in lane 2. It is true that she was running in the outside portion of lane 1 for much of the race, but let us not tell lies just because it supports our propositions.
And MAPIV say he doesn't stalk me...yet here he is again focusing on me. I have never searched for any of his post just to reply negativity. Dude get a life.
Another year of njury free training and Athing Mu will improve her endurance to battle the last 100m against Rayven Rogers, Hannah Green, Oliva Baker, Katie Grace. Most likely Ajee Wilson wont be touched if she stays healthy as well.
