Look at Dibabas performance in the Rome golden gala last week. Everyone calling her for being on the juice again for running 3.56 - and yet Muir is a plucky and honest hero for almost chasing her down after being blocked and losing serious ground and momentum on the first lap. - Her performance as a result was even more impressive than Genzebes, but of course Muir doesn’t fit the profile so a positive spin is guaranteed. - See where I’m going with this?
Now hold on. Dibaba running 3:56 in Rome is NOT why people call her a doper. You have to look at all the facts collectively. Like her running 3:50 and 8:16 a few years back, but more importantly, HER COACH DISPOSING OF USED SYRINGES IN A DUMPSTER AND HAVING EPO IN THE HOTEL. Not to mention the almost complete lack of out-of-competition testing in Ethiopia.
Chepkoech is similar in running difficult-to-believe performances and coming from Kenya where until very recently there was almost no out-of-competition testing; now that they are finally doing a little testing we are seeing Kenyan doping cases left and right.
