Seventh finisher should be Douglas Chebii, 25 or 26yo and ranked 184. Has a PB of 2.08.43 from 5th in Seville last year and ran 8th last April 20 in Dongying in 2.13.49.

Next woman will be, IMO, Hirut Alemayehu, 25yo and ranked 240. Her PB was from Xiamen last year, third in 2.30.09, taking 6.44 off her previous best in 2016, sixth in Hefei, also in China.
Eighth to cross the line i believe will be Barnabus Kiptum, 32yo and ranked 69. His PB was last year in Buenos Aries when second behind Emmanuel Saina in 2.09.19. He was smashed by Saina, who i believe is the 18th best marathoner at this time, with withering 5K bursts of 14.09 between 25 and 30k, then 14.12 for the next 5. That broke him by 3.58 at the end and Kipserem by more. Barnabus won Hong Kong just this last Feb in a similar time.
Eighth female could well be Nazret Weldu of Eritrea, 29yo [supposedly born 1/1] and ranked 228. Recorded her PB last year, completing Beirut second in 2.29.48.
Next man should be Brimin Misoi [Kipkorir], born 89 and ranked 196. Best run was just April 7th in Vienna, 6th in 2.09.31. Previous best was winning Athens last November in 2.10.57.
Next woman may be Susan Jerotich, 32yo and ranked 253 as a road runner. Seems odd that she is not ranked in the marathon after Susan won Kobe last year in 2.31.38, which broke the course record, and took more than six minutes off her first and only other attempt at the classic distance. Ran 10k last Saturday in Washington D.C.
My predicted tenth placed finisher is one of my favourite marathoner to write about. He is the former coach of Celia Sullohern. More soon.

Scott Westcott is 43yo and ranked 1653. I don’t know if that is the last ranked marathoner, his last marathon was last year here, 33rd in 2.30.23. Ran a half this last April in 69.46. His best at the classic distance dates back to 2005, second at Beppu in 2.11.36. Has a great story on his Wikipedia page- his family allowed him to run Berlin for his 40th birthday and he finished 27th in 2.15.30 which in turn qualified him for the Rio Olympics. As well as representing Australia there at that age, he also coached Celia Sullohern to some amazing improvements in her times over 5000 and 10000 on the track as well as both half and full marathons on the road. She was an average triathlete but now is a world class distance runner. All in the last eighteen months since turning 25. I don’t know if he found the secret to the fountain of youth and passed it on to her.
Scotty Westcott one of my faves too.. Newy represent!
I think he won a half as recently as last few weeks too.
You haven't mentioned lagat?
Or is he running the half?

He is coming up, best of 2.17.20. Do you believe he can trim that?

He was halfway that day in 1.06.06. Faded like Stinson. You would think with his pedigree that he could run about 2.14, even at his age.
I'm surprised you've put Westcott as first Aussie. 3 years post his 2:15 at Rio and post a recent 1:09 Half, 30:36 10k I think he's closer to 2:20 now. Would have thought Adams, St Lawrence and Harman all likely to finish ahead of him

I was close to putting Liam first, but the other two are minutes behind Scott, IMO. Thanks for the input.
Tenth female could be the Mongolian record holder over 5000 and 10000 on the track as well as both the half and full marathon on the road. I will fill in the details soon.
As much as I like Westcott, Adams will beat him home...Benny saint my dark horse . Disregard his first marathon. Lagat runs 2:11.50

Good luck with those predictions, I am working more on exposed form. Having some success with it so far, especially London apart from underestimating Kosgei. See how we go in ten days.

Munkhzaya Bayartsogt is 25yo and ranked 238. Her best was from Seoul last year, 10th in 2.31.12. Has finished two marathons this year already, Hong Kong and Gunsan, South Korea. Ran five marathons last year including a second in November in Kobe. Ran four in 2017.
Next finisher may be Liam Adams, 32yo and ranked 439. His PB is 2.12.52 when 9th in Berlin 2017. This last 19 May ran his best half time in Sydney of 62.51, taking 37 sec from his previous best in his first attempt in 2012 here on the Gold Coast. Won the Melbourne marathon last October then five weeks later was second in Kobe.
