12 days out
weather.com: hi 54 / lo 43 / 40% chance of showers
accuweather.com: hi 53 / lo 42 / 30% chance of showers / wind out of SW 5mph & gusts to 20mph
Both still pretty much hugging the long-term averages vs. a being a real forecast.

This is a completely pointless exercise.
Boston is for democrat pieces of trash.
12 days out, something close to climo is the safest and best forecast to make.

That's great!

Just trying to save you time. Last year there was a thread on here predicting nice weather until about 3 days out. Look how pointless that was.
That is not true. From 10 days out last year the forecast was exactly right.
The interesting dynamic with this thread is that everyone not running is hoping for 2018-esque conditions and everyone running wants 45 with a tailwind. It's my first time at Boston this year so I'm in the latter group...based on the history we're due for a good weather year. Hasn't been real good for three straight. I would wilt in the heat with absolutely zero hot runs under my belt all cycle, but looks like that's not projected in any neighboring days at the moment. Staying tuned even though we're still so far out.

Not true. The forecast was all over the place.

I appreciate your benevolence in trying to save me time. So, so grateful.
FWIW, the weather in Natick (mile 9) and Boston can be a world apart.
To wit, 2016 was a pretty warm and sunny year. We waited in Hopkinton in t-shirts and it was beautiful. But as we passed the Citgo sign and made the final decent into Boston were with hit with a cold wind blowing off the water, as it had been doing all day. Onlookers were bundled up against the chill. I told my wife about all the people I had seen suffering from heat related issues along the course and she couldn't understand why because she'd been near the finish line all day.

Yep.
It definitely changes when you make the turn at BC. It can be a whole different world along the course sometimes.
This website gives weather at Hopkinton, Wellesley, and Boston with your wave and time.
http://www.findmymarathon.com/weather/boston-marathon-weather.phpI don't care if it's cold, but would rather not have a headwind....so far looks like maybe a tail wind!
Do you realize how stupid you look, redneck Trumpster? With the highest concentration of college-educated people in the country and boasts two of the top five universities in the world with MIT and Harvard, Boston is a dynamic metropolis that enjoys a hallowed, iconic history. Your hometown? Not so much.

As long as that wind direction stays the same, we're good.

100% incorrect! 2018 was epic-ally bad conditions. Like surviving the Titanic. If 2019 is similar, it takes away from that. 2018 runners don't want that.
What those who ran last year and aren't this year want is sunny weather with a 35mph headwind. The times will be slow and people will be like "such a nice day, why'd they run so slow".
Non runners and a lot of runners here don't understand the effect of the wind.

The wind is the hardest element to forecast. It will change or it won't...
