Probably because he won USA's last year

Jakob would've won had he not done the tactical mistake out of the last turn. O'hare in front, Andrews on the right. Was blocked from turning it up. Good race anyway and a new PB.
Agreed. Jakob was basically stepping on O’hare’s heels through that whole last 50m. I’m disappointed Andrews and O’Hare didn’t run more aggressively from the gun, they essentially played sit and kick to Ingebrigtsen.
scandalous 3000m steeple.
Terrible, one of the hurdles in the steeple is too high! Some girls couldn't get over it. Huge huge mistake.
Okay, Ingy's the real freakin' deal. Really impressive.
And a pretty solid race for Robby, who's usually pretty bad this early. But if we don't see him really get out after it at least *once* this year, like 2:35-ish, and really see what he can do,... I'm gonna just blow a gasket.

Wow. Did they fix it? They're talking about it but I missed the first few minutes. Emma still on a great pace though.
there was/is not even a men's steeple. Put the heights before, let some official check it and go. But this is below the level of any all-comers meet...

Are you surprised? Jakob ran 3.39 basically solo last year in DL Stockholm. Strange to just expect he would run that fast, but hes just so damn good.
World Cup mountain bike racing this weekend, free stream on redbull-dot-TV. T&F is a freeking joke.

They did. But halfway during fixing it the runners came, so they liftet the part of the hurdle that they hadn't adjustet yet out of the lane. So it was half a hurdle, then next lap it was ok. But first lap it was mens height, Coburn signalled to the officials to fix it. Some of the girls couldn't get over it.
Emma just ran out track. Nearly got Hyvin.
Emma comes within 0.07, not bad

Track fans are the cheapest people in the world.

Get out in 2:35 in what? A 3k?

If you have to ask, you've paid absolutely no attention.

They don´t have hurdles in steeple races, they have barriers.
Women's steeple gets its own thread.

Bad race by the Norwegian Grøvdal. She'll challenge Coburn soon enough.

I went to Norway last year. I went to the Bislett stadium. Man it’s in a crap part of Oslo.
Well, I agree that the area is not the best the capital can offer, but inside there is a diamond athmosphere.
Now: Karsten Warholm is at stage dancing with a local band, haha, okay he gets the Bislett Medal from the mayor of Oslo for last years achievments.
Diamond atmosphere apart from being too dumb to have the barriers at the right height.

Absolutely not. Its in a pretty normal part of a city. Higher living standards around the Stadiums than in most of the world.
If measured by quality of life maybe it is good. But Oslo is generally an ugly place.
Bislett is a pretty normal, but boring part of the inner city. Not some horrible "crap" part. And true, Oslo isn't the most beautiful city.
