Correction, that post below mine showed far slower splits than what I saw earlier (Korir in 53.8, for instance), so that changes the evaluation of this race. 54/53 with problems in the pack mean this race doesn't help much to judge his fitness.

And yes, there's a very good chance those two guys were the first two clean runners across the line.
It was extremely slow, the pack went through in 54.
This is what happens when there are no front runners. Som hit 400m in 52 and he was miles ahead it was a joke. Worst event of the night by far.
