This is his shot. Kam and Kip drop the hammer in tokyo, and it's all over.

Farah is now the favorite for the Silver in the Tokyo 2020 marathon.
I guess these are the questions you get from a couch potato view point.
Come on, the guy ran 2:06, lowered his pb by 2 minutes on his second marathon ever? Of course he is competitive.
Not a fan of this complainer and drama queen, but I think he proved today he can be a top marathoner.
Just don't like him at all.
Rupp is a threat since he is a 2:04 guy!

Kipchoge would have set WR if it had been cooler today.
They measure temp in shade - direct sun it's 80 plus- I'm in London. Look what happened to women's leader. Commentators idiots on BBC- pace was too fast for the conditions otherwise she'd have run at least 2:16 instead of blowing up.
Mo not going to be challenge Kipchoge but can run 2:04 - 2:05
He's just finished 3rd in one of the best fields ever. If that's not competitive what is!
Sure, next its going to be 120 degrees in the shade. Lots of ifs, and's, and buts, but the reality is Farah is a mediocre marathon runner is fact until he proves otherwise. He has not won a non-paced marathon either. It's all just empty speculation.
You brain-dead bro?

And to OP this means a big fat NO. He doesn't even consider himself world class if his bar is still that low.
He's pretty good, though. Always defended the guy. Certainly won a few races. Moronic to move up in distance instead of down to 1500, but hey, it was his career to throw away.

yes, Yes, YES!!!
ha ha ha - yeah, I'm sure he regrets sitting in the history books with back to back Olympic doubles every day - "if only I'd given the 1,500 a real go"... MORAN!
You make a good point. The 1500 was his best chance for the world record he'll regret not getting for the rest of his life. Very much correct.

Embarrassing post. Truly.

With his first split being close to 61:00, surely he would have run much faster had he gone out more slowly, such as in 61:45-62:00. Can Mo break 2:04, or win Olympic gold in 2020?
Steve Jones ran 1:07:13 with a 61:42 split. So Mo's race was really British!

Humidity is a problem in summer in Japan. Therefore the race can be unpredictable. I have no idea who is strong in conditions like that.

Did you actually see him run 3:28.8&9? He was way off WR pace both times. His 1500m bests came after he was 5 & 10k Olympic champ. He showed more aptitude over longer distances before he showed anything over 1500m.
How many ran 206 with the temps at 71 degrees?
First off, Kipchoge's gonna win 2020 (Soon after that he'll start feeling his age, or maybe he will have already, but not enough to cost him gold). Secondly, we already knew Mo was competitive on the world stage. There are exceptions to this, yes, but if you were Farah-level at 5k/10k, you're gonna be up there in the 'thon. And he had already run a 59:32 AR HM and a 2:08. And imho a sub-2:10 makes you 'competitive' on the world stage. Being the best/GOAT and being competitive are two different things.

Neither did the Mohamed because they ran in the mid to high 60s mostly.
Tokyo is still 2 years away. 2 years is a long time esp at Kip and Mo's age. Much can happen......
