There's no way this dude isn't trolling https://youtu.be/xKnYISOT5IE
The entire thing is pretense for super kewl slo-mo video of him sprinting, set to dramatic music.
Of *course* he's Vegan.
That was fantastic - Thank you!
"So why do people jog? Simple. It's just easier. It requires a lot less effort, and it's kind of okay if you suck at it. So that's what marathons are all about, right? It's just about finishing the marathon."
I can't take it anymore. This stuff is way too funny. I'm starting to think that this guy is the ultimate troll. On the outside, it looks like he is feeding an army of trolls. Maybe it is the army that is feeding the troll king though. If you just read through the comments on both of the videos posted on this thread, he absolutely does not give any ground to outside opinions and he completely disregards distance running as a competitive sport.
So this guy is either the ultimate troll, or he is completely ignorant. I honestly can't tell which at this point.

There’s a lot of vegan youtubers. Some have decent advice. I don’t think this guy is a runner so he should stay away from running advice. Just like I wouldn’t post a video on “how to shoot a 3-pointer,†when I can make 3/10 at best.
Some people are also atheists. So you know there are people like that in the world.
wait i'm confused.
i thought soy protein doesnt give you man boobs...but then i watched his new video.

Also, you should stop eating apples and start eating oranges.

Nothing worse than a heel-striking vegan. He needs to sprint 100 yards on a 90-yard pier.
If he can sprint the last ten yards, then maybe is is pretty talented.

Technically right to some degree, slow running has been proven to be more stressful due to time spent on the ground and form usually changes at a slower pace.
Guess I'll have to stop all non-sprinting contact with the ground.
WTF AM I WATCHING WTF
The comments section is hilarious. To his credit he replies to most of the messages, but he comes across as a bit of a tool contradicts himself quite a bit. Don't think he realised when he created that video what a reaction it would get..oooops.
Time to revive this thread. Apparently we had a round 2 from "Stop Jogging, Start Sprinting". Here is Ryan Trahan's take on it - pretty funny.

Guys he has extensive research AND client experiences!
"I'm simply explaining that there are more efficient forms of cardio and better options out there..."
10/10
Better options for cardio? Hopefully he is not a personal trainer! Better options out there...for what a heart attack for a 70 year old guy doing sprints or HIIT!
The only person that should be doing HIIT is a completely healthy and extremely fit IN THOSE AREAS OF STRESS 20 something year old. Like most intelligent non-20 year olds I hate even the mention of HIIT. I would like to hit whoever came up with it!

We do have to give him credit though with coming up with an inventive thread.
I'm not sure if I could generate a crazy enough comment to rate so many posts.
This is what happens when a weightlifter tries to teach marathoners how to run!
Hilarious but I think he is serious. He probably intends to increase his business.
I hope that none of us embarrasses themselves this way.
Say a prayer for him!
Wow. That was painful.
Nice bro tank.
Why wasnt he on a track? He was in a parking lot. Why?
You couldn't even see his feet in the video. You would think that would be important.
Was there any point that the vegan sprinting pro guy ever exceeded 8:00/mi jogging in any of his intervals? Asking for a friend

No, he is serious.
In a sense some people would be improving their form if they could sprint a marathon. Unfortunately no one can. You have to find another way to do it. A more efficient way.
This guy should know that top sprinters have the best form in the world. They spend much of their time working on form. It's not just about intensity. A good sprinter also has to know how to accelerate properly because you cannot run your absolute top speed for more than about 40 yards. For adults it will take 40 yards or so to get to this top end speed. After about 80 yards it's who can maintain their speed the best in a 100 meter dash that usually wins. (I did not look this up, so my yardage might a bit off, but sprinting is more of a technique event than distance running is.)
However in the narrow-minded view of this presenter (obviously a weightlifter first---denote the long sweat pants of Rocky fame) because he is more towards the ball of his foot when sprinting he sees himself as having better form. However his head, arms, and hips are all over the place when he sprints. When he jogs we do not see as much of that. Does he have better form when he sprints...no because if he sprints enough he gets injured. In fact I bet he gets injured faster as a sprinter than a "jogger."
He would be right if he said that a sprinter has to have better technique than a runner does. But he did not say that because he does not know that. It does look like he can bench his weight, unlike most of us watching the video do. Hopefully his squatting technique is better than his sprinting form.
