No, they are all going to head to r/running where it is just spectacular when someone overcomes all odds and gets their 10 minute run in and REJOICES with a post run beer. yay!!

Well played Sir!
RWOL has always wrestled with its online community. This is the last in a 20 year onslaught of weird decision making on that front.

And, honestly, I hope the RW crowd does come here with their 5 and 6 hour marathons, 35 minute 5Ks, etc and does try to make this room about advice with running. It will just stop so many of you from being good-time trolls who like to make this a room of depravity and filth, rather than of running.
You do realize that a 35 min 10K is significantly better than a 5 hour marathon, right?

You do realise you can't read, right?
I had to Google "C25K", I had never heard of it. And then, I was amazed by some of the stories, such as how it took one person three tries to finish their 5k training. THREE TIMES?!?!?!?! Speechless.
I did run a 2:30 half this year. Generally, I run in the low 1:20s, but I promised my wife I would pace her friend to a 2:30 PR (why a 28 year-old needs a pacer for a 2:30 half is beyond me...), and I gotta say, I actually had fun. But, I think that is because I drank three beers during the "race" ( all of this handed out by spectators!!), did a jello shot, ate a hot dog, had a cup of coffee and even took a selfie every mile. It's a different world at the back of the pack. If you think the LRs are insecure, hang out with some 2:30 half marathoners, wow do they feel bad about themselves.
I hope they come to LR. I can't wait for Jamin to interact with the Tutu crowd, those ladies will LOVE him!!

In case you missed it
This sounds pretty sweet, were you drunk? Did your friend get upset at all as you were partying during her hard effort?
Details!

Shit.
Social media channels lately are awash with women calling other women "badass" for running a marathon or even a half. Why that term? It's not the '60s anymore. Legions of men AND women run marathons. What is so badass about running 26.2 miles? Do you know any men who that think running a marathon meets the definition of badassery? I don't.
RW has a new ownership group... big changes coming
They read at runners world.com that this is a good place to troll.
So how long till the entire brand is dead?

The whole 'badass' thing is annoying to me as well. Doing something easy, and being objectively bad at it ... _that_ makes you a badass? Why not celebrate with wonder that no one's uteri fell out.
If I were looking for advice on how to break 35 minutes, it sure as hell wouldn't be on here.
They transferred the balance of my Running Times subscription to Runners World, so I still get it at home.
The most recent issue had the following headline on the cover:
When Did Running Get So Rad?
I wish I was joking.

I'm a wannabe hobby jogger at this stage in my 'running career'.
Typically C25K is about finishing a 5k, not beating a particular time. That comes later. If you love the sport, you would be supportive of people who want to start running. Otherwise running will just be like racquetball or even worse. It needs this constant influx otherwise there's no money for new shoes, races, etc.By the way, I convinced a very overweight friend to start running 3 years ago. His first race he ran a 1:21 10k. Fast foward to today and he just broke 40 minutes and he is 47.So yeah, don't be a douche. Grow up.

You might want to read up on the C25K program - there will soon be a lot of people on here looking for advice on how to break 35 minutes.
Yup, Hearst apparently put in the winning bid. We'll see how that goes...they own Cosmopolitan and Elle but they also own Road & Track and Car and Driver.
