Downhill mile might not count for ARs either, but for PRs seems like a false equivalency. Does Boston not count for PRs?

Agreed, though I don't think his 3:49 should be indicative of his talent as an 800/miler. Only on paper is Jenkins a 3:49 guy, in the same way that Justin Gatlin is a 9.45 100m guy (remember that Japanese show he ran with an assist from giant fans?)
EJ is also entered in the 1500 so either he has yet to pick a race to run or he is going to attempt a very tight double
Dave Moorcroft ran 1:46.6 shortly after running his world-record 5000m, but was 3:49 miler. So for Jenkins, probably in 1:47 range.
1:45.23
I would say he's capable of 1:49 off of his normal training, perhaps 1:48 if he has put in some 800m specific training. I highly doubt he's capable of running faster than 1:48 because he would be a miler as opposed to 5K guy. Nobody runs a longer event than they have to. Btw, 1:49 is fast enough for an elite 5K guy; however the key in most cases is being able to quickly shift gears.
Assuming this schedule is current and he's in Heat 1 of each event, the 1500m is scheduled 23 minutes after the 800 begins. A tight double indeed.

Either he will run 1:46.98 or he will scratch.
I base that off of nothing but a guess.
I don't know about Eric Jenkins, but Ricky Rocksford will run 1:47.45
Did anyone else forget that Centro's 800m PR is 1:44.62?
147.9
that is all
The time that Jenkins ran @ 5th avenue is impressive, that being said, it definitely doesn't correlate to a 3:49 on the track. He is a good 15/5k/10k guy so I think he has 146-148 potential but I'm not sure what type of workout race combo he has prepared.
Centro's PB in 800 is 1:44.6, but I think he could have done 1:43.5-1:43.8 in his peak. (remember runners do best at 800m before 25)
Doubling here is to set up a fast 3k or 5k, so he is probably going after 1:47-48 and 3:35-36. But that 3:49 at 5th Ave. was the fastest in a number of years; it beat the Olympic champ right after the Olympics; and it beat a number of strong milers, so it indicates, as did his victory at Millrose, that he is a miler more than a 5000m guy. Of course, he'll be good at 5000m as well--he missed the team last year by a fraction of a second behind the Olympic silver medalist Chelimo.

Where did you hear that? That is not true at all.
