Great Big Sky preview seems to have materialized at Montana St this weekend. Big Sky teams confirmed:
University of North Dakota
Idaho State University
University of Montana
Weber State University
University of Northern Colorado
Montana State University
Plus a handful of others...
University of North Dakota
University of Wyoming
Idaho State University
Utah State University
University of Montana
Weber State University
University of Utah (women only)
College of Idaho
University of Northern Colorado
Montana State University - Billings
Colorado State University – Pueblo
Carroll College
Montana State University
Rocky Mountain College
Whoa... that IS a good field.
Coming from a fan of another program in the conference I can tell you that the Weber St women are very good. If anything Flotrack was letting them play possum.
Top 15 in the country probably, maybe top 12. They always run through that BYU meet (or Murray), watch what happens to us this weekend as they put the hammer down on our girls, and then as they head over to Notre Dame. We'll put one girl in the top 15 at conference, Weber will put 7.
So "Top 25??" absolutely.
NAU is indeed the class of the Men's side, and it ain't close
Idaho St is very underrated, but whether it's 3rd or 6th in the conference, who cares? Same with Idaho, somewhere mid-tier.
Idaho State got pulverized at football this past weekend by CU Boulder
Who cares?
It's kind of the point of the discussion. Guess we shouldn't "care" that Weber is good on the women's side, because they can't win NCAA's. Who cares right?

It's like discussing who is going to finish 3rd and 4th in the AFC South. I guess that's interesting if you're a Jaguars or Titans fan. But really, it just doesn't matter whether the team ends up 5-11 or 4-12. I mean I guess we could discuss who is going to be 28th at NASCAR Duckcammander 500, but why?
If you tell me the team has a chance to win the conference, be runner-up, or go to Nationals, I'm listening. Especially if it's a Big Sky team.
It's more a question of perspective. If you are a neutral fan then talking about the best teams/individuals make sense. However, I have a feeling that there are specific school supporters/fans on here that may be interested in discussing their teams, regardless of where they lie. What if Northern Colorado's men finish in the top half?? That would be a story.
I agree.
There's plenty who do care.
Anyone got results from meet today down in Bozeman?
nothing we didn´t already know. Perhaps that Weber men recruited well and they may be moving into second behind NAU and ahead of SUU? Weber women are very good, but not unbeatable. Utah women look good! Finished ahead of the webs.

Those are great individual rankings.
Random observations:
-Montana State women not as good as once thought. I'd put SUU women ahead of them now as fourth best team.
-Weber State men are very good. Watch out SUU.
-Will be a tight battle for fourth on men's side between Idaho State, Montana State, Eastern Washington...
-Weber women will be hard to beat, not sure if there's a team that truly has that fire power. Weber's 4th and 5th would have to really falter.
-NAU's debut of Gilchrist and Townsend will be insightful on how things play out on the women's side.
Will be a fun conference meet.
1. Weber's women seem to have been overrated early on in the national polls, losing to unranked Utah and a scare from very unranked Wyoming. Looks like they are still garnering enough support to stay in the top 30, however.
2. Weber's men are better than advertised. Still don't think they'll touch SUU. Not if they raced today, at least.
3. Montana St all around a bit weaker than expected. Definitely look at who they have redshirting though... They all ran great. They could be scary next year.
4. Idaho St's men look pretty good. They came on later in the season last year so perhaps we'll see that again? Otherwise I think Idaho will be #3 come Championship day.
5. Montana's women probably surprised me a bit. Thought they'd be worse, honestly. They held their own!
Any other results from the weekend outside of this meet??
Griak this weekend!! Aren't there some Big Sky programs out there??
There are a few programs competing there...
Northern Arizona, Southern Utah, Eastern Washington, Idaho State.
First match up between SUU and NAU on the men's side.
Better insight into how good NAU women are.
Feel we've seen what Eastern Washington and Idaho State have to offer.
Nau men are not running Griak, nau women are
No Weber??
