I don't want you waiting for me to make up my mind, because all could be going well and then I get injured in September. I'm planning to do it for sure, but I would feel doubly bad if you paced me and then I crapped out at 18 miles and jogged it in.
I did just look up the pacing groups, and the fastest the Columbus Marathon has is the 3:10 group. While I could easily crash and burn and finish slower than that, I won't enter the race unless I'm planning to attempt to go faster than 3 hours for sure - sub 2:55 if all the training went well.
Anyway, this is way more about me than I wanted it to be. Just looking for some opinions on the two marathons.
