What if that child runs the marathon as a male?
He will be beaten by Paula's grandchild who was sired by Lord Coe through a Virgin Birth.

Will the grandchild have been raised in Russia as well?
No, he will have been raised by aliens. On a spaceship fueled by ostrich blood.

IAAF will maintain ban on Russia for Rio 2016 due to failure to fix doping system, multiple outlets reporting. Expect an appeal to CAS.
i wouldn't be surprised if the eventual decision is to ban the T&F team from the Olympics, but allow all of the other sports to remain.
Wow, what a joke and what a watered down olympics this will be. Just in mens T&F alone, any medals won in 110 hurdels, long jump, high jump, 400 hurdles, etc. will have lost their luster without people like Shubenkov, Menkov, and Ukhov there.
Perhaps another olympic committee should be organized by non-US/UK controlled countries where they could hold a separate olympic event without the US and UK..and possibly several other US/UK influenced nations...

And Russia gets to bring athletes. Silence from Coe. Official response, "Cannot overrule CAS. Regret..."
What about Reedie's role?
Still, there did not appear to be an appetite to look deeper into Russia, especially after a new president came on board in 2014. His name was Craig Reedie, a longtime I.O.C. official who had been involved with WADA from the start. When Mr. Reedie took over as head of the agency, things changed, several staffers said.

It's all good for Russia. It seems like it will be more of an 11th-hour maneuver to be at Rio.

Well that's what the USSR did in 1980 - wasn't it called the Peace Games or something like that?
Happy to be wrong!
The last breaking bad news for Russia forced their hand.
For the supposed clean athletes -- surprise hair analysis for traces of drugs.

What will probably happen is that Russia will remain 'suspended' by the IAAF, but the IOC will allow individual Russians to compete, possibly as 'independent' athletes.
Thus Coe will look strong, and the IOC will be seen to be doing what it can to help clean Russian athletes compete.
You called it.
Spot on buddy

Yes, faith is restored / ...some faith is restored.
And this way...they can sweep under the carpet the abomination that is Ethiopia and Kenya and Jamaica's last of out of competition testing...
A topic the Brojo's still don't have the juevos to focus on. (With all their supposed furor against doping.)
I can't see the article that "jjjjj" liked -- looks like the link is in a post that was deleted. But what do you think has changed that you think now you have regained previously lost credibility?

Well, the writing was on the wall for several years - as mentioned in that article several times, going back to the last millennium.
When I pointed that out here, I was accused of losing my credibility...
Oh well, why not? All coincidences, right? No evidence, right rekrunner?

Any ban should have been on an individual basis. The Russian Federation staff should have been left out; not even allowed to attend the games as spectators to prevent any contact with the athletes. The IOC would have managed the Russian athletes allowed to compete in the games, with the expense picked up by the Russian Federation. That would have been more than fair.
