Faster than Nick Symmonds...
What was the 1600 time?
Why isn't he racing at Pre?

Duh.
He was just running to win them.
3200m: 9:24.81 over a 9:27.25
1600m: 4:18.12 over a 4:19.40
4x400m: No clue what his split was, but his team was 3rd (3:22.84)
he really "was laying the wood to this"amazing run. so smooth. always looks like he has an extra gear.he's the real deal. the big slagowski(thanks for the video)

Michael at his District 5a meet reclaims the fastest time in the 800 for high schoolers. Running 1:48.36. This was following his win in the 1600 about an hour before and his win in the 3200 the night before. Came around at about 53 and cruised through to the finish.
Fastest guy in Idaho for 2016.

Obviously. He used to be trialswatcher2008 or 2012 or something. You could tell by his horrible posts and insane bias's who he was instantly. Somethings never change.
Tremendous talent.

I don't believe it............. not enough.... ellipses....
I say no way no how that's king99!
What was the elevation where he ran that time? Meridian, Idaho is around 2600 ft., but where was his district race held?
Someone mentioned him always looking like he always has another gear. To me he looks instead as if he has a 10 as opposed to 21 speed, but that he can hold that speed really well.
This guy is definitely amazing. I think that video can remove you for how the speed appears but that looked so much slower than 1:48 races I have seen in person (and 1:48 is the fastest I have ever seen in person).

He just makes it look so easy and can continue at the end. 1:46 is surely on the way in the right race, and mid 3:50s at least.
Running 2.36 seconds faster is a lot. I doubt we see it. Even sub 1:47 would be special. You get performances like this every couple of years and people start going imagine if he didn't double/run the night before/weather was better and so on. Those expectations of future performances are rarely met.
Obviously he could be the exception who throws down a 1:45.9 and runs a 3:52 mile. But the odds are against it. I just hope we get a nice mile with Slags, Hunter, and all the sub 4:06/1:49 guys out there.

Groan, this is perhaps the best mile rivalry matchup since Coe-Ovett, and the Dream Mile is discontinued! Hopefully Pre Classic will remedy this egregious situation.
Districts was held at Meridian High School in Meridian. So 2600 ft or so.

Exactly.
I am not sure what egregious means but this situation is outstandingly bad.
Does anyone have Phil Knight's phone number?
It would be a good idea for YMMV to talk to Phil.

That's a good time, very good.
53/55?
Lol
Should have got out faster.

I wish more races did this in HS meets. I like watching HS track meets, but I'd rather watch two heats with 24 guys in the 1600, than sit through four heats with 12 guys each.
Biggest 800 field I ever saw.
Also, the guy who leads out has the weirdest form
He ran 1:48 again. 1:46 ain't happened this season.

What do you think Symmonds gets paid to run in Shanghai?
How great would it have been if Symmonds had stayed in Idaho and raced a high schooler. Brooks could have made some big deal out of it. Obviously it couldn't have happened because it was a high school district meet but Symmonds could have gone home to Idaho instead of China.
