It's just a projection off his 1500 ability, assuming he trains for a 5k. Centro's 5 attempt, if I remember correctly, was off an injured winter season in '14. He's definitely a lot more capable of a faster time. I think we're on the same page, the further the distance the less impressive performance. Bottom line, if he wants to be a 10k guy, he'll have to sacrifice his 1500 sharpness, and work on strength for the longer haul. That can take years, so no Ben, it's 1500 or bust. Mo Farah is a different animal, he's a 5/10 guy with world class 1500 speed, his transition is seamless. Ben is a pure Mid distance athlete, he lacks the strength for the 10k, I think 28:00 would be a stretch for him, unless he fully commits to the training.
