Coaches aren't the only people who get "speed goggles" sometimes.

Are these people Hispanics or Arabians?

Short or long term relationships with students used to be one of the perks of being a college professor.

If you enjoy relationships with those possessing a Daddy complex. Or those looking to raise their grade. Or your ego is so fragile you need it stroked.
Have to admit is does feel good when passing a group of young women on campus and one of them looks at me and says to the others "ooh, Daddy!" (not a professor, I live near a campus.) Maybe the sex would be OK but I don't think we would have much in common other than that and such relationships usually don't last long.

care to explain? i doubt the relationship with conley is a secret to the other athletes on the team, so there's no way it would "fuel" his need for control/munipulation as you said
It goes both ways in college - lot of female profs & coaches date their students & athletes. Oh mommy
Athlete A is with coach A because he/she is screwing him/her. That's the #1 reason, not the coaching. They'll also likely stay with the coach through bad results to save the relationship.
Other athletes think of going to coach A why??? Most time these coaches have limited success with their spouses and almost zero success with others.
Going to a training group with this situation is like an IQ test for athletes.
Good thing Deena didn't take that sage advice.

Most definitely. Had a female prof invite me to her beach front condo to "sit by the fireplace" - called at 11:30pm and even offered to do the driving. Glad I declined, found out later she was a swinger and one of the other young guys had to visit a medical doctor after hanging out with her. The university I attended was well known as a no holds barred lust fest. The athletics department was a particular hot spot - nude sun bathing on the phys ed building roof, late night locker room encounters, lots of parties. At our school, the male athletes didn't leave their best performances in workouts, they left them in the bedroom. The women's teams fared better, lending credence to the adage that sex helps female athletes and hinders males.
I know for a fact they were dating her senior year of college. That's really not fair for the coach to do as it creates a toxic environment for everyone else on the team. Yes, they are adults, but it's not an issue of sexual morality, it's an issue of the respective commitments they've made to the team.

Since we're all going TMZ here, what about Aussie Nic Bideau who lived with Oly gold sprinter Cathy Freeman whom he coached, then moved on to Sonia O'Sullivan, whom he also coached and eventually married.
Heard he plowed many fields as a coach down under. Ozzie, Ozzie, Oy, Oy, Oy.

Deena was originally coached by Joe Vigil. Mahon later became the main coach of the Mammoth group after Deena had already been very successful under Vigil's coaching. Mahon has also had plenty of success coaching his wife, Jen Rhines.
of all the things that never happened, this never happened the most.

What I meant was:
1) I think his coaching style is a little creepy. He get into his athletes' heads and is a bit controlling and manipulative. It feel it is similar to an unequal romantic relationship, where one partner is very controlling of the other.
2) In light of #1, "the secret relationship and semi-secret marriage" is additional fuel for me thinking his coaching style is creepy.
I may have worded it poorly, leading you to think that I meant that his relationship with Conley is additional control over the entire group. That isn't what I meant.
Do you think it is a coincidence that group is only women?
LOL - you have no idea how ignorant you are.
Why don't you go back into the basement until your Mom has lunch ready.

Professional athletes are a different story though. You don't have to deal with team dynamics in the same way you do with a college or high school team. Womens teams especially can be torn apart by the coach doling out unequal attention. Being sexually intimate with an athlete takes this to the extreme, even if all of the sexual/romantic aspects are kept under wraps.

It could be embarrassment over the coach-athlete thing, or it could just be that they are private people. The privacy thing doesn't really seem likely though when compared to the high volume of other posts they pump out.
I'm sure NB requires them to pump out stuff on social media, It seems like she is just doing it as a requirement and isn't the type of person who would put her personal life on display. Can't say i blame her. I think it sucks that social media posting is a requirement for a sponsorship.
