Reason number 78 why Nick is too spoiled (soft) to win an Olympic medal.
Nick's too worried about the a/c while the future 800m Olympic champion is preparing to win without regard for luxury and comfort.
For a guy who prides himself on self marketing, he does a shabby job of it.
What a girly-man. Nick needs to harden up.

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Throw away the floor fans.
Rio de Janeiro Olympic organizers have changed their minds and said Friday that athletes will have free air conditioning in their bedrooms at the athletes village.
The decision to have free air conditioning comes after The Associated Press reported this week that Nick Symmonds was upset that about 10,000 Olympic athletes would have to pay for air conditioning because of budget cuts.
“The sports department found a solution that could allow us to have the air conditioning,†said Mario Andrada, the spokesman for the 2016 Games. “So were buying air conditioning for all the athletes’ bedrooms and social rooms.â€
The average high temp in Rio in August is 76. Nick needs to study some geography and harden the f up.

The US is 18 or something trillion in debt. 50-80 billion isn't going to make a dent in that in the long term. Tourism gains would alleviate a large portion of the costs, and we would be able to take the rest of the cost. I don't want to get too political on a running forum, but there are plenty of things that could take a hit so that we could host the Olympics. But what we should really be worried about is the fact that Qatar is hosting the summer Olympics in a few years. How the hell did that happen?
Rio used all the extra money on the PGA golf course.

Why should we be worried about that?
