I bought into the BeIN Sling option, but they (again!) don't seem to be showing the meet. Argh! But LR implies they are.

It's on now. I think there might be a 1 minute delay or something. I was thinking the same thing
It's 205 on my computer and the race was supposed to go off at 204
Humidity 43% not the dew point. Gibson takes 400H over J Dutch. Looks breezy at the roof not sure on the track. temps cool.
Is anyone amazed how they rarely talk about the DL standings. What's thep oint of having the $40k if you aren't going to talk about what needs to happen.
Make it so the casual fan knows about it before it happens.

I have tended to think that the IAAF doesn't want to point out how little, generally speaking, professional track and field athletes make compared to other sports. 40k is what, a single at bat for Alex Rodriguez for instance. When you hear about top tier athletes signing 150 million dollar contracts, 40k seems like welfare.

Mens 1500 on the line, opportunity for someone to make a bit of a name for themselves w/o all the E African studs here.
It's a shame Peter Callahan didn't get out ot Belgium to try to use his Belgian ties to get the Olympic A in this non-African 1500.
Gregson told me at Worlds that he wanted to get the Olympic qualifier out of the way.

It will be on there, it just isn't in their guide for what they will be showing. Same thing happened last week. Calm down.
Okay you are right! But last week I could not get Zurich or Berlin for any trying. I was out of the US for Berlin. Why they would not label it as they did the WCs I have no idea. They did for the replay of Zurich, but knowing all the results makes it a lot less interesting.
Thanks! Calm again! :-) (No apologies for my T&F addiction tho).

So no one in the 1500 got the Olympic A of 3:36.00 for next year. How the announcers didn't mention that is beyond me.
Wat ching that race made me appreciate the best in the world. Everyone was tying up. Kind of funny to watch.

This is why I preferred the golden league. There was much more on the line, and so was a topic of discussion.
No one talks about the Diamond League standings just like no one talks about the RunPro series jackpot, or USATF road series points. It's just not enough to get excited about.
And re: Rupp going with the rabbits. The "Why wouldn't he" argument is not a good starting place. It is first a "can he" and then a "Why would he, if..." and the if matters.
It is such a loaded race that of course he has a lot to lose, if he leads out the pack. Of course he'll follow, but for the same reason, no one has any reason to chase the rabbits and then lead the pack.
People love that phrase "what is there to lose?/ Nothing to lose" without actually thinking about what they're saying. There is a lot to lose! The race he entered in!
Dafne win
