political guests were still a minority on his show, actors and comedians the majority. he did plenty of political bits, many exposing hypocrisy through clips of hypocrisy. easily the smartest guy on tv.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Smartest guy on tv? Either you need your own show or should be committed to an institution.
Not at all. Stewart was just more liberal teaching to those that actually watched him and dumbed down a whole generation. He was the ring leader and college professors were his support. The media agreed with him when they didn't report the negatives of liberals.
Stewart was brilliant. He did things no one else did. He exposed the hypocrisy of not only politicians by of the media's coverage of politicians. His research staff as amazing. This wasn't SNL political humor where he solely made of fun of the odd mannerisms of politicians for humor (although he did some of that).
Jon was perceptive, clever, and true. Yes, the last couple of years his show were more inconsistent and he relied more on the silly mugging and voices to try and save a segment. Still there were gems included.
How Seinfeld was perceptive about life, Jon was perceptive about the media and politicians.
This thread proves yet again that "conservative humour" is an oxymoron.

Uh, they were on at different times. Try to keep up, Libby.
I'm a minimum wage earning basement dweller because I choose to be. The LRC is 99% 7 figure earning, sub 14 runnging doctors, lawyers and grammar experts (self taught of course, since teachers are useless).
Maybe if I didn't watch liberal propaganda I would be motivated to be the same.
Stopped watching the over-rated bum after he helped do in Rick Sanchez's career when the latter refused to go along with the myth that American Jews are an oppressed minority
Who's Rick Sanchez?
The funniest thing about the Daily Show were all the myopic sycophants who ate up everything Stewart said and did as if they had developed higher critical thinking skills since Stewart was critical of politicians and journalists, and yet they never paused to critically assess what Stewart was actually saying. The fanboys didn't develop better critical thinking skills. They simply became Stewart's sheeple.
Stewart's gig worked because his staff were digital experts who could slice and dice anything from the web or tv into humorous sound bites. But that can be done by anyone for any cause, whether left or right or anything in between. But since Stewart was a good live comedian, he could get the timing and emphasis just right.
You mad, bro?
no
I don't watch much TV, even less of Democratic party house organs

Are you proud of your ignorance?
Clearly I should be committed to an institution, because I think that Jon Stewart is the smartest man on tv. Give me your better candidates.

Your post is very far from the truth.
Answer me one question, although I have to warn you that I smell potential for irony, did you like the Rush Limbaugh show?
(The easy way out is to lie)
