Cain still leads, taking brunt of wind. D'Ag in 3rd but on outside.
2km in just over 6 min

Anyone get the idea that Mary Cain has been uncomfortable to settle into a pack and race? She has been leading races, and then getting blown away at the end. Why the refusal to be race savvy?
cain now in 3rd behind d'ags and somebody else
Mary Cullen leads at 2k. Abbey D has passed Cain. now abbey d goes to the lead at 2100.
2 laps to go.
D'Ag takes the lead at 900m to go. Cain in 3rd.
2 laps to go
D'Ag trying to pull away
Bell lap in 7:49. D'Ag has about 40m? lead Cain moved into 2nd
7:49 bell lap for abbey, 10m ahead
Abbey D has crushed the field.
7:50 with a lap to go after hitting 2k in 606.
Did anyone seen the rabbit in the in-field? I think they race organizers misunderstood what "rabbit" means
D'Ag for the win, gets it in 8:58.39
Schneider grabs 2nd, Cain 3rd.
8:58 for abbey. about 9:02 maybe for cain and cullen
"My goal was to really focus the last 1000m. I anticipated it being a super tactical race based on the wind and how long we waited around for." - D'Ag in post-race interview
the 3km time is a new PR for D'Ag (previously 9:14.57 from 2014)

1400. 4:10. Cain is doing all of the leading after the rabbits stopped at 1k.
Come on abbey, don't make a teen do all the work!!
I think the other poster was right 4:20 at 1400. So they ran a 77 from 1k to 1400? if they were 3:03, the'd have had to have run a 67 to get to 4:10 which seems too fast. 4:20 might have been a little slow. Maybe the announcer was wrong. i wasn't timing it with my watch.
D'ag closed in 67 so I don't think that lap was a 67.

False.
Abbey ran 8:51 indoors in 2014. 9:14 would be slower than what she splits in a 5000.

I think Cain needs to get out and just run races like this. Couldn't have a better role model than Abbey.
Rutt, Bube, English in 1:48.
Rutt attacked at 200m to go to go around English. Was challenged by Bube with 60 to go, but had more strength down the stretch
great atctics by Rutt there in the 800m. dunno the time, didn't look to be too fast. i think the rabbit hit 400 in 51ish and he was mid-pack probably in 52high or 53. at 550 h started moving up, got into 2nd by 100m to go then let it rip
Men's mile lining up now. There will be an official 1500m split
