I am a little pissed as in the prediction contest I had Centro 1, Leo 2 and ANdrews 3. Andrews getting by Leo cost me the perfect event bonus.

What a freaking kick.
I think he was 9th place comign off the final turn. I had picked hiim for 3rd in my prediction contest so I watching him and saw him with 300 to go and thought, "Man he's far back. More of the same old? Just too far back? Nope.
Once I saw him on the homestretch, I'm like he's goign to get it. Then I started to get worried for Leo as he was struggling. But Leo held on for 3rd.
Sucks for Ben but only 3 guys can go. Maybe in 2017 we can send 4 as Centro could be defending champ

Centro still the fastest closing 400 in the field and from the front too!!
Well if you look at my reply to the original thread you will see that I basically said 1) he knows what he is doing and 2) since finals are usually tactical he is hoping he won't need to run a super fast race from the gun (instead using what should be a superior kick).
CALLED IT! :)
Btw any link to the race footage? I stupidly miscalculated the time zone difference and missed it.
Pretty nice run for Andrew Wheating also!

Brojos, why didn't you ask Robby about his supplements?

When will you guys start filming and hosting actual race videos? Make Letsrun the one stop shop for gossip AND content.
He definitely had a nice kick, but as of right now he doesn't have IAAF qualifying std (he didn't have the USATF std of 3:39 before today's 3:38+) and is way down the IAAF list (I think 68) of 1500 rankings.
So, is the new qualification process just a gimme, and he gets in? Or, is he in some peril?

His kick was pretty impressive, I was afraid that speed might have faded. I think his last lap was slightly quicker than Leo's

El G, J.Simpson, Webb close(d) fastest from the front.
No wonder runners are known as wimps- The only sport where they're scared if winning. Imagine if El G, Simpson & Webb in his best races had that attitude to not lead.
I just hand timed Andrews and a couple other last 200
Andrews 25 low
Centro 25 high
Manzano 26 high
Blankenship 26 high
Excited to see Daniel Winn and Will Geoghegan in the future. They looked great trying to stay up front.

The 3:30 summer was pretty magical. People still talk about it. I think he is more of 3:34/35 guy now. Baring injuries
