You do not get bonus points for running foolish efforts, whether they look courageous or not, you only get credit for wins, placings and time run.
I'm sorry but you clearly don't know anything about elite athletes. Both Soratos and Jordy are coached well enough to count. Once the pace was clearly faster than heat 1 - I promise you they knew the times from heat one - they made sure they were in the top seven - neither was "almost eliminated.." Soratos jogged a 60+ second last lap, meaning he had plenty of resst in that rest. You can't say a 56 second last lap is fine but a 56 second second lap will kill you. Not only that, but every runner in his heat who wanted a slow pace is all freaked out now after having to run 3:41 or better to qualify.He just got inside the heads of almost half the field,
