My brother used to run d3 and his pr is much better than that. He could have been a d1 national champ. I would have something to celebrate instead of sitting here alone in disappointment.

He was just pissed losing to a massive doper!!!
I was shocked that they didn't finish together. They were clear of everyone and I assume Jenkins expected then to finish together like they did in PAC 12 5k. Instead Ches went hard and then it looked like Jenkins realized it and tried to steal it back at the line.
Very interesting.
Still haven't come through the interview tent. Journalist next to me quipped 'what's taking so long? Getting their stories straight.'
In reality i think the delay is they are going to do 10k awards on field.
Thanks brother greg, I appreciate the support. I would have run faster than those d1 slackers because I don't do anything but grind. None of this "let's drop 75's."

Ches will always be superior to Jenkins. Any day, any time, any year. Ches was just toying with him. Jenkins can get pissed, but when it comes down to it, Ches is clearly the better runner
I think the biggest issue is that there seemed to be an agreement before the race about who would win and Jenkins wasn't happy because those agreements weren't followed.
If there was a gentlemen's agreement to finish together or instructions from their coach not to race then yeah Jenkins is probably rightfully pissed.
Takes a big man to sit on your teammate and then out kick him again. We all know Ches is better, so let's see Ches do some of the work. I think there's a classier way to go about it, if Ches can humble himself.
I merged three threads on this subject. I did then watch them on the award stand. The photographers asked them to pose for a picture together which they did. They then exited the awards stand separately. ... Interview now done. Will post.
Ches made excuses the last time he lost (indoors). Guess he couldn't take the heat this team. It'll be interesting to see how the 5 plays out. Might be a bit harder for the 1-2 oregon punch.
Jenkins told me after the race that he will be racing all-out against Cheserek in the 5,000 on Friday. No holds barred. This is going to be good.
I saw them cooling off together during the 4x400 so they he cant be that pissed at chez. Anyways I thought Jenkins should've won, but chez passed him and cut him off a little. he couldn't get back quick enough cause there were slower runners in lane 1.
It's official. Jenkins wasn't happy after this one was over. The plan was to finish together but Ches decided to kick it in for individual glory.
Jenkins and Ches interview:

At one point in that interview, Jenkins went as far as to say he didn't view this as a real loss.
Jenkins interview alone:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYEFY8rMYwU
In the 2nd interview, Jenkins says he's going all out in the 5k.
I wanna see jenkins win the 5k
It would have been nice to point blank ask Ches why he kicked for the win rather than finish with his teammate.
I like how the same people who said Jenkins won fair and Sqaure in the indoor 3k are the same people that say Chez should have let Jenkins win this one
Sounds kind of contradictory to me
Not saying he should have let him win but don't wait til last 100 and block him with lapped runners. Total dbag move
Hey Johnny do you want some cookies? I don't know if you'll come to NCC this summer but if you want some let me know and I'll see what my mom and I can do. By the way good luck with your 10k at USATF Outdoor Nationals in Eugene!
