Honestly though I think he'd be faster had he kept doing the SUU training and not gone to NOP, because he was stronger and on a much more positive trajectory at that time.
And Salazar seems to be not much better of a 10000m coach than he is a coach for the marathon. Maybe he should stick to coaching the 1500 meters.
Yes, the guy who coached the gold and silver medalists at 10,000 in the Olympics can't coach the 10,000m...brilliant!
