Holy moly.
Can Germany be put in charge of anti doping in track field please! First they busted Kenya, then they busted Russia, now they have busted the Brits. Good work.
At least Kenya and Russia should be banned from international competition for about 4 or 5 years.
Send those krauts to Portland please. That cesspool needs to be cleaned pronto.
Of course Germans never doped.

True, I should have added that they busted themselves first ...
Well don't you think three missed tests is a pretty good reason to accuse somebody of doping?

ROFL
These results are dated in this fast changing landscape.
I would be interested to know how widespread doping was in GB during the leadup to the London Games. Team GB was off the charts in 2012.
We are kidding ourselves if we believe that Russia is the only country with systermatic protocols.
This proves that the Brits have been cheating all the way back to Roger Bannister (a doctor so must have cheated as THEYall do). Never thought that guys like Coe or Ovett, and certainly not Cram and Elliot or Moorecroft, could really be Olymic medalists or world-record breakers without PED's.
Does anyone think the article could be referring to Paula?

So do these Germans actually know who it is or do they just know that it happened?
Would not be surprised if it were Mo, always thought the jump he made from being a middle of the pack kind of a guy to the best in the world was too much to be ascribed to being coached by Salazar.
Man I hope it's Radcliffe though, that 2:15 WR is a slap in the face of the sport.
More then anything I just want it to be a big name like one of these two just to watch the ensuing sh**storm.

.
Farah did not make that big of a jump. Most of the talent left his events. That has been the biggest factor in his success.
I rarely comment, but you are very, very false. His jump was MASSIVE. Go back and look. He went from being the Puskedra of Mottram's group to a 3:28 1500m UK record, AS A 10k SPECIALIST!!!!

Technically the poster you are responding to has a point. Prior to Farah's success, the distance races were dominated by:
- Gebrselassie
- Komen (for 2 years in the 90s at least)
- Tergat
- El Guerrouj (5000m only)
- Bekele
The departure of the first four from T&F along with Bekele's injury occurred in conjunction with the large-scale exodus of East African runners from the track in favor of the roads.
Farah is a great distance runner yes, but his dominance can be attributed more to the fact that he improved right at a time when (non-exclusively) the greatest ever 3000m runner left, 3 of the 4 greatest ever 5000m runners left, the greatest ever 1500m runner left, 2 of the 3 greatest ever 10000m runners left, and arguably the greatest ever 5000m/10000m specialist was injured and failed to recover adequately.
Toss Farah into the late 90s, give him both his 3:28 speed and 26:46 strength, and Gebrselassie and Komen would have eaten him alive on the track (metaphorically of course).
You comment all the time.
I don't know if Farah made a big jump or not, but this obsession with "big jumps" is idiotic. Athletes make breakthroughs. Should we assume the young lady from Wisconsin that just PB'd by over a minute is a cheater? How about Hassan Mead? Or what about Ben True? Molly Huddle a few years ago? Nick Willis just ran 3:29! Not that hard to believe a man from East Africa can run one second faster. It's a big world folks.
Athletes make big jumps all the time. The best know how to rise to the challenge. Sometimes it takes years of preparation, but then they hit it out of the park.
As far as the German documentary, pretty interesting stuff, but baseless and careless accusations about one British athlete eight years ago doesn't give credibility to the core of the story.

He is not a 10k specialist. His jump was huge, but it adds up with changes in training, mentality, resources etc. It was a big breakthrough, but believable.

Believable my ass. How many times has he even raced 1500? He goes and takes down the eur record. Doped.
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
