I have a strong feeling that her Twitter post will disappear shortly. She is a stupid "count" for jeopardizing her family's financial future by posting disparaging innuendo about her former employer, with a large legal team.
She admitted that she's taking drugs.
Yeah, I guess that was dumb.

What in god's name are you gibbering on about? She is making the point that there is drug suspicion in our sport - what people call being dirty.
Nike's ad says they run dirty. Not a good association. She says, Nike, rethink your slogan.
How is that innuendo? Christ I don't have time to educate all the morons on this board all the time. Would you people think sometimes?!

I can guarantee you that Kara Goucher is clean right now.

There is nothing about Kara G's tweet that is even vaguely actionable in legal terms. It states that there are problems in the sport that might make such a slogan unwise. Anything about Nike is only what you choose to infer.
Yup. It's like the average IQ of posters drops to about 60 whenever the name Nike or Goucher comes up.
Thank you!!!!! Good god, it only took until page until until somebody explained this.
Some of you are jokers, Nike made a dumb mistake and kara pointed it out via social media. If anything she helped Nike realize a major mistake. Shots were never fired everyone go home and go back to your lives.

how much would it hurt Nike if runners stopped buying all their running gear? I thought it was worth a shot, then I remembered all the other sports they're big names in. Nike is Goliath with a full faced shield and we are Davids with a sling that's no more accurate than Colin Kaepernick.
That's 3 whole points

OK, I'll put this out there.
When you deal in negotiations with nike and the insults come to you regarding your athletes, i.e. racial, ethnic, etc. true colors are shown.
I get it. Business is a contact sport and when you are offered a bribe to lower your price and don't take it, you might get blackballed. When a company can brag that "as long as we have the baggy pants wearing urban crowd in their pocket, they will rule the world" you get the picture.
Kara probably realizes this better than you nutless wonders do. I do, too.
Question any agent that has nike only athletes.
POST OF THE YEAR.

What an utterly meaningless post.
An anonymous twit on the internet can "guarantee" something that dopers have for decades been able to hide from spouses, coaches, and teammates if they want to?
Why even post something so droolingly pointless?
Not a big fan Kara's, but she was clearly just referring to scandals in all of running and not from Nike athletes. Nike hasn't even had any doping scandals of late.
Anyway, her tweets or new sponsorships will be the only way she ever makes it onto running boards any more.

Why else would she leave Salazar? Think about it.
This is a bunch of nothing… "We run dirty" seems like an effective ad campaign for Nike's TRAIL line of running shoes and clothing.
Next...

She just ran a 2:37. Way to go out on a limb there. Of course she is clean right now. Although the more she throws shots at Nike the more I doubt how clean she was 5-10 years ago.

Unless she actually has beans to spill, Kara has made a big mistake...a big mistake. This was selfish act, she should have thought about her family making this post.
You say that like Nike is gonna knock that door and destroy her home and take the first born child for her tweet.
Wow, what a turncoat. I guess all those years Nike supported her mean nothing now. Also, isn't she sort of roping herself into the suspicious Nike athlete crowd as well considering how many years she was with them? Makes no sense to me... I guess she just liked the joke.
EXACTLY. Her chirping off and taking a page out of Fleshman's outspoken playbook is just pathetic. Wasn't the ad on the front of a running store depicting Nike trail running? I'm sure the ad was made and in place long before the doping issues.

Re: liking the joke
I don't think the Nike marekting department is that dense that they didn't intend the double meaning to be a joke. It is actually pretty clever!
I agree that Nike was likely just joking and that Kara probably "got" it and pointed it out on twitter
If I were a professional runner and had had money (and wins) taken out of my pocket by dopers, then yeah.. I'd be darned happy when they get exposed.
I don't blame her one bit for commenting.
