I admit I have the bias of being a Rupp fan, but my claiming that Rupp could be on Souleimann's shoulder at the 1K mark in tomorrow's 1500 race is far from ridiculous.
And, I doubt that Souleimann has kicked less that 40 for the last 300 in, let's say, his 3 fastest 1500 races this year.
I invite anyone to dig up the stats on that. For example, the Monaco race was really fast paced, didn't the winner Kiplagat run 54 point for his last lap? Silas might have dipped under 40 for the last 300 there, but I bet no one else did.
Souleimann is fantastic, and a superbly gutsy runner. I'm just bringing some reality to the discussion.
