What's he got to say about Ruby Tuesday?
"Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday,
Who could hang a name on you?"
I don't think the question should be in regards to Brock being bitter. I think we should examine if the allegaions are true. #1. Did Rose Monday have zero elite coaching experience before coaching Maggie Vessey? And #2. Did Rose Monday play to Maggie's insecurities.
I think the answers are crystal clear. Monday has zero elite coaching experience. And Monday did indeed play to Maggie's insecurities.
I think any success Maggie achieved in 2011 was a residual effect from her previous 3-4 years under Greg Brock.
I don't see that she improved at all under Rose Monday.
Back under Brock's coaching she PR'd in the 400 earlier this year.
Balance
Flexibility
Strength
Range of Motion
Coordination
Activation of Nervous System
Stregthening the responses
Full movement spectrum
Consistency
Its now always a perfect maggie world

Still I'm gonna miss ya?
Let's really look at how many coaches begin coaching an elite athlete. By chance (college) or by sleeping with them (bf / husband). Are there really any top professional coaches out there?

I always kind of felt Monday was behind that positive drug test (that wasn't really positive).

Listen, Vessey gaining weight only is happening because of her age. She is working hard, but is getting flabby due to her age, not her work ethic.
Yeah.
Like Lagat.
And Meb.
And Symmonds.

Monday and Salazar seem to have a lot in common.
Poach athlete$.
Get entrie$ to fast races, set up perfect pacer$.
Bask in PRs earned through previous training program.
Watch athlete stagnate. (Ritz, Webb, Levins.)
This process ended Webb's career. Hopefully runners like Vessey, Ritz and Levins still have time to move back to what worked.
Hello Greg Brock/Rose Monday obsessed running fans.

One on One With Maggie Vessey's Coach - Greg Brock
Seems to me that age 32, Vessey can make up her own mind & be held responsible for her coaching choices.
What's important as an athlete is that she seems to be running well.

Did Rose help Roesler make up her mind to? Rose apparently was grooming Roesler for many years telling how a great coach she is and now Roesler is conned by Rose. Roesler is still very young.
I hope it works out for Roesler.
Rose does not have the skill-sets or resources to coach someone like Roesler.
So many haters on this thread, even by Letsrun standards.

I'm not sure what Balian is trying to say.
Rose Monday started coaching (poached?) Maggie Vessey 3 years ago when Maggie was 29 years old. Those are lost years.
I don't see that anyone is criticizing Maggie for returning to Greg Brock. If anything, most seem to view it as a positive step.
I think the argument could also be made that at 29 she was capable of making up her own mind and being responsible for her coaching changes.
