Last Ramadan I gave a Muslim friend a kilo bag of chia seeds. Told him to take a few tablespoons with his before-bed glass of water. Probably taken around 2-3 AM or so. He trained really well on our evening sessions and reported that he felt good power. Being school holidays, he did get to sleep in to 2PM or so. But still to run around his peak form at 9PM was surprising.
If you fast and don't have chia seeds yet, investigate why you might want them. I buy from a bird food supplier, same stuff as sold to health stores.
