Maybe cause he ran a 3:38 1500m 45 minutes before that and was using the 5k as a tempo

Was that done in trainers or in spikes?
Trainers, obviously. Rexing was taking his splits on the infield since Sleazy Sal was in Sacramento.
I recall watching Mo Farah winning the 1500m at Oxy at few years ago (3:34), then coming back to win the 5k, 45 mins later. He was clearly fit.
Levins looked heavy running 3:38 (no gears at all the last 200m). The 3:38 was slower than last year (3:36). If you watch the 5k, he was WAY back off the lead, and looked to be struggling early. He couldn't even hang with guys running 13:40 pace. His Prefontaine 5k DNF confirmed his lack of early-season form. He fell off the pace before the 2k mark there.
Now, this controlled 13:25 solo 5k is the best I've seen from him in a while. The big question remains, can he regain that monster kick he had back in 2012 when he was double NCAA champion? He hasn't finished the last lap of ANY race in 55 seconds since the summer of 2012.
