Nah, Klinsmann is buddies with the German coach. USA and Germany will draw and both go through.

Such a lack of concentration and focus that cost us both an early goal and an idiot of a late goal (who leaves Ronaldo open at the end of the game up by one?!).
Wrong.
Do NOT blame DeMarcus Beasley. His marking of Ronaldo is exactly what you teach. Contain the player..don't let him get to the middle of the field, force him outside. Ronaldo had a step and got a superb cross off.
We saw it with Messi yesterday. All the great players need is half a step and they change the game. They get ONE moment and they capitalize on it. It's what makes them great. Ronaldo did that. Excellent pass.
If you want blame for the tie, blame a horrible turnover by Bradley and attrocius marking by Omar Gonzales. Seriously, he watched the ball the whole way and never saw Varela. Watch the reply. Varela makes about a 40 yard run and I don't think Omar Gonzales turned around once to see where he was on the pitch.
This is the best I have seen the US play in some time, maybe ever. The should have won the game. They didnt and now face an uphill climb against Germany. If they qualify, they have to hope its on goal differential.
Really impressed with Jürgen Klinsmann as the USA coach. But he was born in Germany and coached the German national team in the World Cup before. He lives in California, but is he an American citizen? And he's coached two different national teams in the World Cup?

Wrong, Germany is smart. They will play for the tie with the US (and we'll just play for a tie as well). In that case, we both advance. If Germany loses, and Ghana wins by 2 goals, they advance over Germany. They won't risk it. Games are played at the same time, so they won't beforehand.

Wrong.
If Germany loses to the US and Ghana wins, then it would be:
US 7
Germany 4
Ghana 4
Portugal 1
IF this was the case, the current goal differential is FIVE (Germany +4, Ghana -1). Even if Ghana won by 2 goals, the Germans would have to lose by 4 for Ghana to overtake them. If Germany lost by 3, then the next tiebrearer would be total goals scored. Again, based upon having 6 goals scored thru 2 games versus Ghana's 3, I give the edge to Germany.
Slice it however you want, but barring the ridiculous happening, Germany is thru.

Didn't you see Klinnsmann frantically waving his team back so they wouldn't give anyone half a step? And they didn't do it.

You are stupid. The last goal was from a great play by a great player.
The first goal given up was weak. Please refrain from posting about soccer.
Jeez, I don't know if calling me stupid was necessary, but okay.
Agreed. I didn't mean to blame Beasley, since I thought he played great today I'm the humidity for probably the oldest player in the game. Bradley pissed me off all game today. Did not man to imply it was Marcus's fault. Obviously not Howard's either, as he had a stellar game.
why is a player from Iceland playing for the US ?
Great game! US was great the whole way except the last 45 seconds. Awesome cross by Ronaldo to tie it... Awesome World Cup!
He was born in Alabama then moved to Iceland.

Do they not have Wikipedia where you live?
Just watched the replay.
Wow. What a bad turnover by Bradley. As a guy who is supposedly the "muscle" of the US team, he lost the ball like a little bitch.
The blame on the goal has to lie on the shoulders of both Geoff Cameron and Omar Gonzales. It was bad defending. No way should Cameron have let his guy make a 40 yard run and NOT been on his shoulder. Omar Gonzales absolutely ball watched. I don't think he ever saw the guy. As a center back you NEED to be aware of this.

I do. I really do. And not just because I can't find this information on wikipedia.
