In respect to Lutz...he is coming back from an injury.

Looks like the season is coming to an end. Leg wasn't happy about the 25 laps. Not how I wanted to end things this year but it's time to heal

Sure, but I wasn't talking about Lutz:3 Mark Pinales JR Texas 30:29.68 6 My point, was that once that pack formed, the likelihood of a fast time being produced by anyone in it fell significantly. As a result, you have a lot of those runners performing below their PR potential. Make sense?

RRRR wrote:You need to read between the lines with these results. It looks like Kithuka was let go, and everyone else (including the UT athletes), formed a lead pack that contended for points by kicking it in the last couple of laps. Notice how close the guys behind Kithuka are to one another.
And Lutz was 2 and a half minutes behind the winner of the "tactical" group.
Texas A&M's two 10K guys would have crushed those puny longhorns in the 10K. HAHA
Those 2 might give Cheserek and Lalang a battle at NCAA but i think it will be Cheserek 1st Lalang 2nd and K K 3rd.

A&M doesn't have a 10k guy that can crack UT's top 5.
Yeah, ok. And I suppose you think this effing joke of a distance coach at UT is better than Hayes. Give me a break. UT is done. John Hayes was one of the best coaches in the NCAA.
Touching up on the lapping....he lapped the NAIA field at the 5k mark....lapped these jokes shortly after 2 miles. What a lackluster performance....naia guys put up a better fight. The Kenyan from OSU beats Kithuka 2 weeks ago and doesn't have the heart to try and win a Big 12 title? Why not go for it? To what save up for nationals....it's not like the pokes are in the team title for conference or nationals. He went Johnny career out in Cali and will sit on his laurels and probably won't even score at nationals. Big 12 blows

Where did I say anything about the coach? We're talking athletes here.
Dohner - 29:0x, all-american
Lutz - 29:2x, all-american
Pinales - 29:2x
Galvin and Nation - 29:3x guys
Who does A&M have?
3 likely in top 8 scoring positions next year in 10k with a returning lutz and Dohner plus Pinales. Calling a longhorn NCAA track title next spring.

what a tactic. lap the field and draft off the "front" group.
/\ /\ /\ This. Brilliant indeed.
OSU is currently in 3rd in the team standings 15 points behind Texas Tech.
Dave Smith is obviously attempting to win big 12 outdoors.
Dave Smith already won big 12 cross country/indoors.
OSU has 2 people in the 800 final, and a whole bunch of guys who could score in the 10k. They went 1,2,3,5,6 in the 1500.
What you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.

Are they still 15 behind Tech? Lol lost by 64....and 30 to texas. And you put a whole bunch of guys who could score in 10k when 10k ran last night. Who is incoherent now? Erabassa really went for that 5k...ran a whole 600 meters with Kithuka!!
