Well, Awad got mentioned in the WTW, which is a start.
Also, TFRRS converted Awad's 3:58 mile time into a 3:40.68, which would place him as #2 in the country right now behind OK State's Chad Noelle (3:40.06). Only one other athlete has gone under 4 minutes in the outdoor season so far - NC State's Andrew Colley (3:59.34), who has a 13:44 5k PR from 2011.

So, Awad's mile time shows he has the speed and his 5km time shows he has endurance, but what does his 3:58 mile time correlate to in the 5km (realistically)? Could he contend for a 1st team All-America status if he makes it to the NCAA finals? Or are there just too many other contenders to consider for this race?
