Pffft. Shoes are for heel strikers.

Not a joke:
lightweight trainers: Skechers go bionic
Spikes: 1st gen Nike Victories (although they did seem to fall apart pretty quickly).
I've been wanting to try out the Go Bionic, as I've heard good things, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. They just released the Go Bionic 2, but no one carries them!
Puma faas. Love the 300s.
as much as I enjoy Saucony as well, it it pretty safe to say that one man poison is the other man chocolate.
Adidas. Never gave them a look until this past year and ever since I have been hooked. They are really durable too. Before I would say either Asics or Nike but now its def Adidas

Go for HOKA's

Saucony has been my top choice for the last 25 years. They even make half-decent trail shoe now. Have been happy with a few Brooks and Asics models as well, so they are a close second.
Nike is the absolute worst. Haven't made a good running shoe since the early 80s. That brand has been about nothing more than fashion over function for almost 30 years.
SAKO

for the most part I agree with you, however their top of the line shoes are pretty good. Its just that they put out SO much crap the fact that they can still make a decent shoe gets lost.

Skechers are my new shoe (replacing the Free)they're great! (Tony the Tiger?)
One reason specialty stores don't carry them is because the profit margin is too low. The Ride 3 is $80.
To find them Google: "Skechers store locations California" (or whatever your state) and you will be able to find the nearest Skechers store. I would call first to make sure they carry performance running shoes. They have a lot of casual type shoes.
Actually every shoe brand is doing a great job with their shoes. The second running boom thats accruing now is far bigger than we ever experienced before. Far more runners running and racing. Its driven the shoe companies to up their game for a piece of the shoe pie. Find what fits you best and meets your biomechanics needs.
BTW Skechers has pulled it off. No respect for the brand in the running community but they are actually pretty good , maybe the best value for money out there in the running shoe market. Ive got a pair of the Skechers Ultra's in my shoe rotation and like them as well as anything else at twice the price.
