what time did wilson kipketer run??
Around 1:20 according to the IAAF Twitter feed.
Great runs and nice PRs for Bergasel and Kleppin in the women's race!
Anyone have a link to results? I can't find it at the IAAF site.
Race should be a great one. Hopefully someone gets up early and talks about it here as I'm heading to sleep.
Update: The race is over.

Equal to 27:15ish and 13:05ish. Pretty good, but don't forget about Wanjiru running 26:40 at 18!

American Men ran well. Only one PB in the group (Boit), but all ran strong performances, 1-5. Perhaps our most consistent team performance in the history of these championships, which is a testament to our selection process.
21. Josphat Boit, 1:01:32 PB
33. Tyler Pennel, 1:02:19
35. Matt Llano, 1:02:24
39. Shadrack Kiptoo Biwott, 1:02:27
46. Fernando Cabada Jr., 1:02:53
Well done to Boit for the PR! That is the reward you get for hanging with the Kenyan boys! Interesting he managed to outwit two of the Kenyans!
Kind of amazing to think Ritzenhein took bronze at this thing once...

In that race Ritz missed silver by just 1 second and some of his victims included Wilson Kipsang, the current marathon world record holder.
geoffrey shouda stuck to 10k last year as he has no M prospects currently ( he tried it but no good )
he did win last year's doha 1/2M in 58'54 from biwott 58'56 & joffree in 58'58
that was a race which joffree made, when after a jog for 4k in 11'25, they ran 17+k at ~ 58'35 pace & they only really put the kick down in last ~ 9k !!!
all 3 guys couda broken zedster's wr last year if they had run that race hard from the gun
even this paled into comparison when prior he won a high profile kenyan 12k xc from mutai by 54s !
http://www.iaaf.org/news/report/kipsang-romps-to-kenyan-police-victory-cheronmutai is no bum at short distances & run 27'27 in nairobi when he was nowhere near as good as last coupla years+
to slaughter him by nearly 1'00 over 12k showed the kid was in a position to slaughter his 27'06pb from '11
he's still only 22y & frankly, kenya doesn't need any more M'ers
he shoud stick to 10k & 1/2M for now
perhaps canova knows something about him...
He may not be around very long, five weeks ago he ran Tokyo in 2:07:37:
http://www.iaaf.org/athletes/kenya/geoffrey-kipsang-kamworor-262444#progression
By Sunday morning, 59:07 won't be the fastest half marathon of the weekend.
Leonard Komon will run faster in Berlin
a race he came 6th behind dick chumba's 2"05'42
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Tokyo_Marathon
geoffrey is wasting his time at the M, albeit maybe 5 or 10k$ for low positions is more than he'd get on the track
