We brits don't need the NSA to know everything about our fellow runners. We have Power of Ten...

Was this guy a runner?

Maye they needed to sedate him because he was pulling his IV or foley while they were trying to give IV hydration and monitor urine output for severe dehydration and heat stroke.
It's actually fairly common for people to develop pre-renal failure and even elevation of liver enzymes from shock
Dedication is someone training 7 days plus a wk not some glory hog(quote/)
how do you train more than 7 days in a week? youre probably one of those idiots who thinks runners should go ketogenic
Test post please disregard
probably the most clever thing iv ever read... not
Yes! I can cross "sub-4 marathon" off my bucket list.
Now onto developing a taste for Scotch.

People need to understand this is typical. When they are able to get you in a hospital, they will do ANYTHING they can get away with to keep you there till you die, while they are racking up the expenses in the meantime. This is a well honed racket, and they usually get away with a lot.
I seriously doubt his liver (good grief) and kidneys shut down and that he got pneumonia from running a marathon. Even if he had. putting him in a medically induced ????? coma did NOTHING to help him and was more likely to keep him on the edge of their intended medically caused death, while they did all their bogus and expensive procedures.
WAKE UP PEOPLE. Be aware of what they are doing, and don't let them keep getting away with their murders and abuse!
Did you even read the story?
HE'S IN ENGLAND!!!
- free health service
- salaried doctors
- not on medical insurance
- no expense claims
- limited budgets
- not enough beds
The last thing they are going to do is keep you in hospital, or give you unnecessary treatment.
The parking fees can be a bit steep though.

Doubles
The guy is a BSter not a baller
Some more of his story from the story from nearer the time. To be fair its probably the journalist who came up with the no running since the marathon comments

If not for the road-race industry, he would probably be in a local athletics club competing in the shot put against neighboring towns.
Funny how he kept going till he collected his medal. They hold up that shiny medal at the finish line to bait millions of people who aren't well-equipped physically for the event, and they'll even pay big entry fees for the chance to collect it, maybe even risk death.
It wasn't about a shiny medal for me. It wasn't about finishing. It was trying to run a target time, which I beat by 9 seconds with negative splits.
that would be 7+ TIMES a week, not days
Guy's a baller. Should get BQed on the strength of this.
