I am primarily worried about what becomes of the third Hunger Games movie.

I'll bet he was found dead better than Rupp would be if found dead.
lol
Makes as much sense as most of the remarks from haters re Rupp.
Another drug addict bites the dust.
BFD
I would not consider a guy who dies at 46 with a syringe in his arm as someone to be admired.
Yesterday a 20 year old skier from Dartmouth dropped dead in a nordic ski race. Now that's a death to mourn.

No one cares, take your self-sanctimonious BS elsewhere.
I think that the range of a TV, film and stage performer is the most important quality he or she can bring to the medium. PSH was incredibly gifted in this regard (others who come to mind: Michael C. Hall, John Malkovitch). He played an austere yet ironic personal assistant in a raucous comedy, a pathetic yet likable in-the-closet groupie in a pseudo-bio about a porn star, and a manipulative prep-school ringleader in a coming-of-age drama and he never had to star in a film to make any of them immeasurably better. I agree with the idea that this feels like being cheated and not merely deprived, as when Len Bias died in 1986 and the Celts were never the same.

No, seriously, I have no idea who that is.
You sound so proud of your ignorance.
If by "my ignorance" you mean my disdain for hollyweird and my not wasting my life on Netflix etc then, yes, I am proud. Have not been to a movie theatre in 10y at least.

I appreciate someone who is good at what they do, but the placing upon a 'pedestal' of actors is something that I've never understood. The same can be said of athletes and politicians.
The world of acting (Hollywood) is pretty screwed up, and there is a lot of evidence to support that.
Somebody will rip this apart, and that's fine... the guy was found with a needle in his arm.

You two obviously don't know the difficulties of addiction. He was sober for 23 years and relapsed last year.
It is a struggle day in and day out. Heroin is a terrible drug to shake once you've done it. I wish people would stop thinking they can handle it because the truth is nobody can.
Hope the sun is shining bright throughout your respective glass houses.
The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what we share with someone else when we're uncool.
So many drugs in his system that he was either going to die or run sub 2:05.

Look, we know that he had issues. He was not famous for doing drugs or being a role model, he was famous for being a great actor, and that's what people are praising him for. I loved his work and don't see why I shouldn't feel anything that he died. If you don't care, feel free not to post in the thread specifically about his death.

He was in ET or some s$@# like that.
Oliver Reed died before he finished filming all of his scenes for Gladiator. They had no trouble finishing the film with CGI.
PSH will have no trouble finishing up the Hunger Games if they go that route.
The guy introduced the term "Shart" to the world and for that alone he deserves major props.
Actors, musicians, and athletes = Worst role models on the planet

Probably my favorite movie line ever (and not an easy one to deliver, since it just jumps right off the screenplay).
I've been thinking of my favorite PSH scenes and films, and it's amazing how many come to mind.

Loved him in Owning Mahowny

You're such a better person for not watching movies. Congratulations.

Maybe your argument applies to some drug users.
Forget his profession, status or acclaim.
The guy was father to 3 kids, if that doesn't slap you into becoming a responsible father until those kids can fend for themselves, you are a selfish loser of the highest order.
Go try and defend some teen abusers or something but don't try and defend this guy.
