I'm hesitant to call someone "training fodder" but compared to Mo, Galen, and Centro it sure looks like it.
Centro isn't on their level, is he? Centro is closer to Ulrey than Mo.

Centro's resume: wc's bronze 2011 and silver 2013, 4th in 2012 olympics.
Centro is at Rupp/Mo's level. I don't see Centro ever breaking 3:30 in the 1500m, but he is so sound tactically that he is built for the championship races. Centro will win multiple more global championship medals before its all said and done. I'd want to say he could win a gold one of these years, but with Kiprop at a similar age I don't see it happening.

He'll stay in Hanover and train with True and Chelanga (if he goes pro).
Who knows where True and Chelanga are going though, now that Mark Coogan cannot coach them anymore due to his new position with New Balance.
That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if New Balance tries to pull in Geoghegan as a part of their New Balance Boston group.

Finally a thoughtful post.
All I want to know is, how the hell do you pronounce that name??? Joe-Gay-Gun?
The guy had a crazy NCAAs in XC and finished 14th after having finished 5th at Regionals and 13th at Heps. Now the guy solos a 3:58 this early? If he runs sub 13:30 outdoors what do we think the chances are Alberto is interested? This kid was not very heralded coming out of high school and seems to have consistent improvement in the NCAA.
LetsRun update: We've written a story on Will here:
Will Geoghegan Q & A: The secrets of going from 4:05 to 3:58 in the mile are revealed

Really enjoyed reading the interview with Will "I'm still unsure how to pronounce your last name" Geoghegan.
Dartmouth is going to go big once they get Silas back from the skinny skis.

Are you Cam Levins? wrote:Sorry to be rude but how can you possibly know that the other NOP members "like him even if he is slightly weird?" Do you have an inside connection with the Oregon Project? The rest of the NOP could despise Rupp and there is no chance in hell he Salazar would boot him.
Well sometimes there's pics of the guys hanging out. And in interviews they say they get along and that they're friends and stuff like that. I don't see why they wouldn't like Rupp.
What else would you expect them to say in interviews, kid? I'm beginning to wonder whether you're related to A Duck.
From what I remember in high school its Go-he-gan.
Will Geoghegan's jaw line could cut stone.

Why NOP?
because he looks like prefontaine, right? mustache and all.
I heard Will's diet is steak and eggs. Apparently he cuts out all carbs, goes pure protein with kale some times. I feel like this is has caused at least 1/5 of his success.

Go-he-gen (with a hard g)
I heard that Will, Steve, and John are all going to go pro and stay in Hanover.
I also heard that Jake Shoemaker will take over as their coach.

Did you mean right after they graduate from Dartmouth? Because when Wejo interviewed Will, he said that he was looking at graduate school and try to use some of his remaining eligibility. And at the same time, this is Mangan's first indoor track season (he previously skied), so could he have graduate track eligibility too? I cannot recall Bleday's eligibility status right now.
Just wondering.
Wouldn't wanna be ya. 'Cept I just did.
I predict that Wet Willie will go to UT, Stanford, or Wisco for a year to use up the rest of his eligibility/get some geeky degree, then move back east to be closer to his sweet, sweet sister.
Man, I just can't hop off this guy's times...so good
Geez I never seen a guy run 20 to 30 miles a week in HS and drop a 4:12 mile and a 9:18 2 mile. My Mom and Dad are in their late sixties and run 20 to 30 a week. Been doing that for 30 years. Man 4:12 off of 20 to 30 wow!
Geoghegan definitely has the talent. Hopefully Salazar takes notice.
Does anyone know if Will Geoghegan is funny? Andy Wheating is funny, and he's awesome. We need more funny men running fast.
