Responding to the quote said above. That makes no sense. In the Commonwealth games Britain is not represented as a unit. Individual country's are represented individually. Wales, Ireland, England, Scotland.
I think the conversation is being very skewed. people are comparing the value of certain medals on the global scale. I was still under the interpretation that we were talking about Tom Farrell. Having said that I thin that Common wealth focus should be his absolute coming out party upon the international scene. In America nobody really follows Commonwealth games. But in England they are hyped up very similar to the Olympic games. The Athletes receive a lot of exposure. Comparing that to European champs and World champs is ridiculous, they cannot be any farther from each other.
yes I would rank the value of a Medal from the Commonwealth 3rd behind Worlds medal, and Olympic Medal, but the Commonwealth games are #2 in terms of exposure.
