It's funny when runners the 3/4 tights with compession socks. Just wear a full tight then.

I've worn both and this combination isn't too bad. Not sure what it is, maybe having some ventilation?
I can't find half tights! I don't wear 3/4 tights so it's either shorts or full tights.
I have a pair and I love them. When I wear full tights my legs can't extend fully for some reason, and I have hernias in my shins so I don't have a choice but to wear compression sleeves, so the combination works great, though it looks ridiculous

I totally agree, its hard to find a good 30 dollar pair online and near impossible to find in store.
So half tights and full tights are ok with you? What about 3/8 or 5/8? Apparently 3/4 are not ok. 7/8?
I don't understand why anyone, including women, would wear them. I have never been in a situation where my knees required extra warmth but my shins/calves did not.
The reason for wearing 3/4 tights is purely performance based. When wearing 3/4 tights one can feel the wind brushing over their freshly shaven calves and get an accurate feel for the relationship between their foot speed velocity and their leg speed velocity. From this information the runner wearing 3/4 tights can adjust the relationship and improve their running economy.

They are popular with women because women's running shorts are very short. The capri length is an alternative for women who do not want their thighs showing, chafing, etc. I personally prefer shorts when it's warm, but if it's about 50 degrees, I will sometimes wear capri tights.
I really do not see why they have men's capri tights. You already have half tights, or shorts as I like to call them, that go to the top of your knee.
just a thought, perhaps they are targeted at those whose knees get cold and want to avoid a sore knee? would actually make the most snense for wearing knickers (btw, that's what they're actually called, capris for women, knickers for men)

40 degrees and up = shorts
39 and under = tights
exception: racing = shorts above 30 degrees
It is really simple.
what about 40 degrees on an overcast and windy day for an easy jog? I'm going with pants for that.

Under 30 then maybe tights, or shorts and a long sleeve with a bb cap.
Man up

This, if it's under 40 I need something over the knees or My knees will be on fire when they warm up. Full tights are more than I need most of the time, so the manpri is a good compromise.
I've never worn them running, but I wear them cycling when its around 45-55 degrees because my knees tend to get cold. I never had that problem with running and was able to transition from shorts to full length running pants.

That actually makes sense...
