Extraordinary depth in both Pre-Nats and Wisconsin. Pre-Nats had 159 guys sub 25 in one of the races (fewer in the other) and Wisconsin had 209 guys sub 25. Then there were very few guys over 27 in any of the races and not even that many over 26.

Congrats to Abbey D.! Fast times all around today. I wonder where Mark Coogan's critics are now. Quite a young team as well. Bright future ahead, even more so if some freshmen step up.
Go Syracuse!!!!!
What the heck... Couldn't they find a box in the "A" race for these guys to have some competition since they traveled to the meet? They would have beaten 4 teams in the "A" field. Geez, I hope they feel like it was worth the trip.
Go Lumberjacks!!!
"Fast times" do not mean s h I t in cross country.
Since Providence w ran a walkon I have to assume they are redshirting 3-4 runners including Sr. Grace Thek?
syracuse did run in the A race. they just sucked big time

They definitely ran well-- about where their ranking would have predicted. But why the chip on the shoulder? If anyone ever criticized Coogan is was likely because he had been overrated for the past three years, based on the success of one athlete. I don't think anyone ever said he was incapable of eventually fielding a strong team. In fact, it would have been pretty hard NOT to eventually do so, with the kind of exposure you get as a result of having an athlete consistently near the top since basically freshman year(well deserved exposure, of course, but there you go).

What happened to Duke women (25th)...they were suppose to be one of the top ranked teams this year?[quote]real_ivy_is_green wrote:
I second this question. Maybe they didn't run their top women?
Lawi is coming off an injury. He only had 2 weeks of training heading into the Wisco race. Not a bad performance with only 2 weeks under his belt. He will be ready for nationals for the trifecta of showdowns between Kamoy, Lawi and Kennedy. Watch out!
Li said that the first mile in 4:40 was the fastest mile he has run since summer (and getting hurt?).
:D
