College xc meets should be for collegians and younger.
I should have been more clear. I mean post-collegiates who are lower than what you might call sub-elite, not guys like Chelanga or really anyone who is good enough to be doing it for a living. I think if it were popular for these kinds of graduated runners to continue running in college meets, meets where they still get their asses kicked by college runners, a lot more people would continue progressing after graduation. There's a bunch of guys around the country who are content to just dominate their local road races and never really get anywhere else. And if they go to one of the big road races, the competition is heavy at the front with the elites, then there's a no-man's land until you get to the recreational runners. College meets offer depth of competition for these types that's very tough to find.
