She's washed up. They're bringing her in to be a training partner for Cain.
..and get Cain into the 5K mindset. Then she can move up to the 10K and marathon. Cain needs to move more into Alberto's wheelhouse.

Rowbury is already on the plan. As mentioned above, the coaches are friends and share secrets
Oh wow, what inside information

how is it logical that even though no A-list American distance runner has tested positive for many, many years...you can take this smarmy attitude toward the NOP?
really, it is a little weird.
That A-lister was coached by Alberto Salazar.

And Martin Fagan was coached by Keith Kelly.
You can't always draw a straight line from A to B.

why do they have to join another nike group? Can't they just train on their own (if they so wished to)?
To make sure they are actually training and getting the best care and injury prevention. Nike contracts aren't a charity gift. It's a two way street.

It looks more like Nike has taken a page out of Microsoft's anti-competitive playbook. Alberto said Hasay had to sign with Nike before she could train with NOP. Curious that Cain did not have to do this. Of course Nike knew that Cain's parents would not play its game. Few athletes have that leverage.

Nope. If Cain wants to keep the door open to compete in the NCAA then she can't sign with a shoe company. I'm sure Nike would be happy for Cain to run for the Ducks.
The fact that Shannon would decide to get coached by a group who is speculated for doing (With proof also) shows her willingness to cheat to reach goals.
SHAME ON HER. She lost a fan with this
wait a second...why isn't this proof that NOP is clean? if a standup gal like SR would join Al Sal, well then that is a vote of confidence. Thanks Shannon!
Seems like a good match. Sal fits her talents but Shannon always speaks in interviews about her love for CA and her home training. I know she took camp trips but for the most part lived a normal life outside of running. All that is about to change. NOP is like college. That team spends a lot of time away and the schedule doesn't appear very flexible.

looks cute and nice but is actually batshit insane?
Like Cook was ever really clean...?

Darn. And I always thought of Rowbury as a woman of integrity.
Actually, maybe this can turn into a positive.
Shannon, please don't be like everyone else that has recently joined the group. If Alberto tests you with a few ambiguous comments, go along with it so he doesn't pull the 'A' program away from you as he has his doubts about you. Act like you want to dope. Hell even dope. Don't act nervous. Then spill the beans to a major news outlet. Think of your legacy.
The system wide countries no longer get away with doping. The last remaining untouchable is the NOP.
Everyone else either goes along with it as they want to be good or because they think it will lead to another 4-year contract. Please be different.

Nice logic. I speculate your Mom robs banks. Shame on your Dad for his willingness to be married to a bank robber.

How so? If you are referring to the actress, she has seen absolutely zero controversy within the tabloids and graduated from Harvard. Not exactly the pedigree of someone who might be labeled "batsh!t insane."

Where someone got their degree from has absolutely nothing to do with their level of insanity.

She was going to break 4 in 2008 and just slowed down before she crossed the finish line. That's her doing. Always race past the finish line.

Possibly not. On the other hand, it's safe to say that you would probably need to be a bit more level-headed to graduate from Harvard as opposed to Cal State San Bernadino.

We are going to start judging people based upon their Saturday Night Live comedy skits? If that's the case, a lot of famous people are in serious trouble!
If this is true, I think it supports NOP being clean. I can't imagine Rowbury being mixed up in shady stuff.
I've felt the same way about Ritz and Hasay. They both strike me as people who would not be involved in questionable stuff.
