No, we can assume the 5k and 10k have a lot of top end talent, and that you are a troll and idiot. And I rarely say such things. So so very very tired of Rupp bashing.
Nice ad hominem bashing.
ANSWER THE QUESTION:
Do you HONESTLY believe that Rupp will win another OG or WC medal on the track?
ANSWER.

Sorry to burst you bubble buddy, fluke or no fluke Galan Rupp has a Silver Medal from the Olympics games 10,000m, he will have that medal until the day he dies. How many do you have again and how many championship races did you compete in. Haha, all i can do is laugh at you bro, bahahahah!
Oh, here it comes: "Duhhhhh...How many silvers do YOU have, buhhhddy?"
No argument from you I see. Next!

"RuppNation"?
LOL
Your "nation" has one medal, which was a FLUKE, and will NEVER win another.
LOL
That's still one more medal than you phaggot-bar

rupp just beat 3 out of 4 kenyan's best.

rupp just beat 3 out of 3 ugandans and every other african.
and he did it in 85 deg heat.
ya, sure, it is a fluke.
3 out of 3 UGANDANS? Well, OK THEN! I guess he has backed up his OLYMPIC SILVER by coming fourth ahead of Uganda's best.
Guy, you are really reaching, you know that right?
How many men's WC/OG medals has Uganda taken on the track lately?
3 out of 3 Ugandans. I literally laughed out loud.
Also, good point about how the temperature only affects Rupp. DUMBEST POST EVER.
OP, you do realize Rupp today got 4th today to become the highest ever American finisher in a men's 10,000. I think that proves it wasn't a 'fluke.'
Did a lot go right for him to get silver last year? Yes. What's your point? A lot has to go right to be #2 in the world in anything.

That's a great CAREER.
Can you find me another American with such a career over 10,000m on the track?
Thanks.
Rupp for Gold in Rio (he will not run the marathon there, too hot).
Billy Mills won gold in the 10,000 at the olympics. Rupp should stop contenting himself with being nearly as good as Farah and strike out on his own.

Really? That's your response? REALLY?
Unless you have better than that to offer, consider yourself owned.
Rupp is a great runner, but not on the level of the medal contenders in a world-class 10,000.
Today he was FOURTH, with a total joke of a Kenyan team and the Ethiopian who's whipped him all year suffering from "illness."
That is the BEST result he can hope for on the track right now. The ceiling approacheth.
Pulling the AR into the 26:30s this summer would be a good wrap to his track career.
But his best chance for another medal is in the ever-flukey marathon.

Do you mean World Championship 10,000? Because otherwise, he did that last year...
I know you're just trolling for the fanboys but I think Rupp ran a better race today than in the Olympics, despite the result. He was fighting like a baller out there and just didn't have the final sprint.
Getting outkicked by Farah and Jeilan should be expected. I don't know about Tanui, but losing to one mortal in a WC is not a bad result.
I guess even though you don't receive medals for anything outside of the top 3, 4th place is actually very good.

Owned? You practically became my b*tch when you admitted Rupp is one hell of a runner.

OBVIOUSLY he is.
But what the fanboys don't get (or admit) is that the Olympic silver was a fluke. The field there was SO weak and EVERYTHING went just right for Rupp. Which is great.
But seeing him as on the level of guys CONSISTENTLY at that level is delusional.
Honestly, would any of you bet money on Rupp medaling in Rio?

Would you have bet any money on Mo 3 years before London?

This is a very smart post, and I think you're right.
The field today was actually quite a bit stronger than in London. For one thing, Jeilan not being injured makes a difference.
But this is kind of my point. Rupp may have in fact run BETTER today than in London. But with a legit field, his ceiling is below the medals.
Marathon time. I hope he runs London with Mo next year.
Farah's wins are flukes because Bekele is washed up, Geb is not running the 10K anymore, Tergat is retired.
He sucks and should hang it up.

Kid, you are now officially a clown.
Do you REALLY think that Rupp will improve from 2013 to 2016 as much as Farah improved from 2009 to 2012???
No. Just no.
I hope you guys realize the OP is trolling... Any watcher would say that running 4th at a world championship is a good performance. Rupp entered this season with high expectations from his followers and was kind of a disappointment. I would consider this Rupp's best race of the outdoor season, however it looks like there was some minor staggering and uneven positioning from his perspective. He ran with confidence, all things aside. I'm not a huge Rupp fan (hate watching his interviews), but any hope for a US distance medal has to be favorable in some light.
2011: 7th
2012: 2nd
2013: 4th
The only guy with a better performance over the last three championships is Mo Farah.
