Mo Farah is faster than Seb Coe. Let that sink in...
Props to kiprop though, I really thought we were going to see a world record. 2:45 at 1200!!

just a note, not even el guerrouj has been sub 2:46 at 1200 in his 3:26.0 or 3:26.1.
That is hard to believe, although I find this stat more amazing:
Mo Farah is now faster than Daniel Komen by over half a second at 1500m, and by nearly a minute at 10000m.
Just think about that. Mo Farah has better speed AND better endurance than Daniel Komen, the man who ran 7:20 for 3000m and 12:39 for 5000m. Farah really ought to get into a fast race after WCs and take a crack at that record book...

going to take a wild guess and say the first 8 guys are doping.
They are aliens from a different planet, with super powers that no human is able to accomplish!
Of course Daniel Komen ran his 10000m PB of 27:38 in 2002 when he was in 7:44 shape, very far from the 7:20 superman. He apparently did not race a 10k when he was at his best - even if it was a little overdistance for Komen I would expect him to have been capable of something around 26:40 at the very least.
But if Farah does get close to those 7:20/12:39 times, forme it would be final proof that Brits have found *some* powerful new endurance PED, what with Froome's dominance in the Tour de France happening at the same time and all. Another huge step in performance at Farah's age would no longer be explainable by "improved training"...
Must be nice to run more then a five second PR in his thirties, hahaha i want those vitamins too

Why is MO listed with "AR"? Doesn't that normally mean American Record? Shouldn't that be "NR" for national record, or am I being a xenophobic ultranationalist ugly American?
If that is the case, I apologize. Seriously, I'll just tell you one thing and I'm speaking now for all white people but especially those who have tried to change in the last 50 or 60 years—and a lot of them have really tried to change—I'm sorry for this stuff. That's all I'm saying.
AR stands for area record.
It stands for Area Record

I'm afraid you are.
I am afraid these results show just how far behind the very top guys Matt C and Galen R are.
I thought they were closer than this
Absolutely amazing

may i correct you with a list ( but isn't a list of fastest ever 1200 splits )
http://mb.trackandfieldnews.com/index.php/archivemenu/33-archive/95-fastest-1200m-times-en-routehicham split 2'44.75 in rieti '02, a race no one else here apart from me seems to have watched
he aiming for not just a wr that day but wanted to dip into the 3'24s
however, he was solo long way out, something like 500 out & said he "lost concentration" being out alone so long ?!
he "faded" to 3'26.89 in stretch, looking disequilibriumed
Thanks guys! I hope you accept my apology. I am thrilled with having learned something today.
For you others out there, per the IAAF, "Areas" are: Africa; Asia; Europe; North & Central America+Carribean; South America and Oceania.

I guess that is so our sports records are not based on arbitrary lines drawn in the sand to celebrate conflicts between politics and ideology?
Spread the knowledge and spread the love!!!!

I wish I could be excited about these results but... I mean, come on.

With a little side assist from the British High Performance Sport System, Sky is the limit for Farah ;)

And far slower at everything in between. Mo is nowhere near that 3k record. Kiprop and Kiplagat wouldn't get near it either.

Shame on you. African-born Brits just take a while to get good, they are useless until they are 27 and will then improve well into their 30s. It's genetic, you see.
